[Buzzing (subterranean flies) #Online]
A fly the size of a pot lid, surrounded by violently surging air, suddenly shot out from a very close distance.
"You old schemer, you weren't the one who tricked my Ate, were you?"
Latis gave a cold laugh, his illusory wings flapped, and suddenly he turned to face the fly.
Then, pointing at the fly with his left hand and raising his right hand above his head, he suddenly sang:
"Boomerang, ahhh! You'd die a hundred times over!"
The air bubble around the fly suddenly dissipated, and it continued to fly aimlessly for two meters before suddenly hearing a whooshing sound behind it.
It turned around blankly, only to see a broken crescent-shaped crown getting closer and closer to it, before passing through its body without a sound.
Without looking back, Latis flew towards the griffin that had broken free of its entanglement and landed steadily in front of it.
"Garma."
The griffin stared coldly at Latis, its limbs raised, exuding a kingly aura.
"what?"
Latis scratched his head, shook the hammer in his hand, and tentatively asked:
"Can you speak Chinese?"
"Gah!" The griffin's eyes blazed with fury. This human was far too arrogant, actually answering a question with a question!
It suddenly stretched out its lion claws, gathering a surge of magical power, and swept them towards Latis's thick waist!
"Damn it! Pull the power!"
Latis dodged the insidious lion's claws with a backflip and began to curse loudly:
"You despicable little lion, you hit me just because you don't understand English! That's the only gibberish I know!"
Seeing the griffin staring blankly at its claws where the magic had dissipated, he took a deep breath and focused his consciousness on the Eye of Herod.

"It should be safe now, but we still need to ensure accuracy... It's entered a state of serious combat now and should be paying close attention to the spell's information. I need to find an opportunity..."
Latis tilted his head slightly to look at the massive griffin, and suddenly Ateliers' figure appeared in his peripheral vision.
"Arte, what do you want to do?"
A string of information suddenly appeared before his eyes.

"Athe?" Latis took a step back, glanced in the direction of Ateliers, and couldn't help but exhale when he saw the serious look in her blue eyes and the withered glow that symbolized the near exhaustion of her magic.
"I understand. I'll create opportunities for you."
He slightly bent over, looking at the griffin that was restless due to the internet outage and the numerous spell prompts it had also seen. He held his breath and thought to himself:
"Londia, I hope you can be more reliable..."
Latis put his hands behind his back, took out Frico's stockings from his soul space, tied one end to the Black Swamp Hammer and the other end to his own hand.
"In the simulation, the griffin is a formidable character who can still fight off a level four warrior even after its web is broken, carrying a bunch of scrolls... Its physical strength is no less than that of a high-level warrior."
His eyes were resolute. He began to swing the hammer, which was bound tightly with stockings, and after stretching his body, he waved to the griffin.
"Iku, let's go!"
Latis swung the Black Swamp Hammer fiercely, aiming it at the griffin's head.
……
"Where are the Latis people?"
Yashutia yawned and looked at the robin peering out of the tent.
"My brother must have had something to do and left."
The robin stared warily at Yashutia, its body tense.
"Hey, why are you looking at me like that!" Yashutia shouted angrily. "And why are you calling him 'big brother' along with that half-elf?!"
"I didn't just call him that randomly; Art said I could call him that too," the robin lied without batting an eye, then countered, "Do you also want to call him 'Big Brother'?"
"How could that be!" Yashutia immediately denied, angrily kicking the resting hairy legs and shouting:
"My relationship with Latis is purely transactional! He teaches me alchemy, and I craft tools for him, it's that simple!"
"Oh." The robin scrutinized Yashutia's expression suspiciously for a moment, then suddenly sneered:
"What are you so nervous about? Your brother isn't here. Are you afraid I'll do something to you? I don't know any magic at all."
“Who’s afraid of you?” Yashutia clenched her fist, took two deep breaths, and said in a low voice, “I’m just worried that if he dies out there, no one will teach me about magical puppets.”
"Big brother will be fine. Don't even think about escaping his control." The robin snorted.
"Damn it, I told you it wasn't him..." Yashutia bit her lip, angrily walking into the alchemy hut, muttering, "Luckily, I left a magical tracking item on him..."
The robin stepped out of the tent and looked at the hairy-legged creatures that were standing up unsteadily when suddenly Yashutia screamed in his ear:
"This stinky dragon is too heavy! When will Latis get rid of her?!"
“That won’t do,” the robin murmured softly. “An adult female red dragon is worth 50,000 gold whites, and even if you sell them separately, they’re worth at least 40,000. That’s my brother’s property.”
Suddenly, Yashutia poked her head out of the already activated alchemy hut and asked in a low voice:
"Why haven't you packed up the tent yet?"
"Hmm?" The robin tilted its head.
“I… I’m afraid that when we find Latis…” Yashutia stammered, yet remained righteously certain, “he’ll think I turned you into yakitori skewers!”
……
"Ow!"
The griffin, with its legs tucked between its legs, stumbled and fell into the water.
It raised its head, looking at Latis with hatred and terror, or more precisely, at the hammer in Latis's hand.
"Hiss..." Latis couldn't help but feel a phantom pain as well. After confirming that the hammer he had swung repeatedly hadn't hit him, he burst into laughter:
"Even if you have the skin and bones of a high-level warrior, you still can't have a muscle made of iron!"
"Ka!"
The griffin kept trying to connect to the magic network, but the network remained unresponsive. The feeling of being abandoned made it tremble. Seeing the man swinging his hammer at it again, it quickly clamped its legs together and began to pounce wildly.
Latis chuckled, using her impenetrable stockings to shield the lion's claws, then stomped on the griffin's face and slammed her hammer down on its body.
"Ow!"
The griffin screeched hoarsely, finally breaking down, frantically flapping its wings in an attempt to escape. Latis, seeing the danger, quickly grabbed its legs. Just then, Ateliers' voice suddenly came from the lakeshore:
"Big brother, let it go!"
Latis instinctively let go of his hand, and then was surprised to see Ateliers throw something that looked like a lotus core into the air. The griffin was instantly excited when it saw it, and quickly flew towards the lotus core, opened its big mouth, and swallowed the lotus core directly into its stomach.
"What is that, Arte?"
Latis jumped down the vines to the shore, gave Ateliers a tight hug without saying a word, and then asked with interest.
“That is, that…” Artemis was unusually stunned. She hesitated for a few seconds before regaining her composure and looking at the griffin in the sky, which was radiating magical light, she said:
"Those are the cores of the Moonlight Lotus that I picked. Eating them will grant you magical power equivalent to several years of meditation."
"Huh?" Latis's face instantly fell, and he grabbed Ateliers's shoulders, crying out sadly, "How could you just feed it to it like that? I wanted some too!"
A subtle smile curved Atelier's lips as she looked up at the griffin, silently reciting in her mind:
"Who told you to tease me like that? You hugged me like that right off the bat... Humph."
She shook her slightly flushed face, her eyes sharpened, and she mentally dispelled the shapeshifting spell.
"Recover, vine worm!"
The griffin, which was still smacking its lips, suddenly changed its expression. It felt as if the lotus core in its stomach had suddenly turned into a wriggling, hard, thick, long piece of dung. It painfully clenched its bird face, its limbs twitched, and it fell helplessly to the ground.
thump!
Latis, witnessing the massive splash comparable to that of the Philippine diving team, couldn't help but change color, releasing his hand from Ateliers' shoulder in alarm and taking a half-step back.
"Then, what is that?"
Artemis smiled gently, placed her hand on Latis's shoulder, gazed tenderly at him who had arrived just in time once again, and patiently said:
"That's actually my plant guardian. I disguised it with a transformation spell, but the real Moonlight Lotus Core is here."
The half-elf pulled a small rose from his sleeve, handed it to Latis, and said with a smile:
"This is for you, brother."
"Huh? Oh, oh..." Latis took the rose in a daze, then asked in a daze:
"Arte, did you keep the portion for yourself?"
Arterifus slightly averted her gaze and said:
"Have……"

The sudden notification made Latis's expression change. Without saying a word, he immediately hugged the half-elf and turned around to block the two wind blades with his broad back.
Latis glanced at Ateliers, who was both panicked and somewhat relieved, and breathed a sigh of relief. He turned around and shielded her behind him, saying resentfully:
"Damn it, you wasted two of my shield spells again! Those were a gift from Arte for self-defense!"
He looked at the griffin floating on the water, its body enveloped in a crimson glow, and smiled coldly:
