Chapter 595: You Hit Me
Chapter 595: You Hit Me
Upon hearing this, the man who had just arrived spoke with an awkward apology, "Sorry, Young Master Chang, we’re a bit late. We’ll definitely be faster next time!"
"Hmph. It’s just the two of them," Chang Yu pointed at Lin Kuang and Mu Wan, sneering as he spoke. "Leave the woman. As for the man, beat him half to death."
At this moment, Chang Yu was brimming with confidence. After all, with forty or fifty men behind him, how could they possibly fail to take care of Lin Kuang?
"Hey, kid," Lin Kuang asked with a laugh, watching Chang Yu boss his men around. "Do you really think all these people are enough to handle me?"
"Of course! If all these people can’t handle you, then I might as well drop dead!" Chang Yu declared arrogantly.
"Good. You said it yourself," Lin Kuang said with a smile. "If they all fail and you don’t die, just watch how I deal with you!"
"Bring it on! You think I’m scared of you? What are you all looking at? Leave the woman alone and take care of this guy! Go!" Chang Yu roared.
"Yes, Young Master Chang." His men answered in unison and charged forward. Some wielded baseball bats, others held daggers, all of them swarming Lin Kuang.
Watching the dozens of men rush toward him, Lin Kuang was completely unafraid. They might have had numbers, but to him, they were just a swarm of ants. Though the saying goes that enough ants can kill an elephant, this swarm wasn’t nearly large enough.
"Honey, just stay back and enjoy the show. Watch how I clean them up," Lin Kuang said with a grin, and then he made his move.
Lin Kuang didn’t use his True Qi, relying purely on his physical strength to fight them. Even so, the men couldn’t handle it. After all, they were no match for Lin Kuang’s raw physical prowess.
Lin Kuang’s hands and feet moved in a blur, and agonizing cries of "OW!" and "AARGH!" constantly rang out. One by one, the men Chang Yu had called over collapsed. Some clutched their legs, others their stomachs, while a few even held their heads and screamed on the ground.
In just one or two minutes, all forty or fifty men had been laid low by Lin Kuang. Each one was writhing on the ground, their faces twisted in agony.
Lin Kuang glanced around. All of Chang Yu’s men were scattered on the ground around him, while he alone stood tall and proud—a truly awe-inspiring scene.
Seeing this spectacle, everyone present was dumbfounded, with the sole exception of Mu Wan.
"Is... is he even human?" the restaurant owner swallowed hard, looking as if he had seen a ghost. This was just too damn terrifying.
Chang Yu gulped, his face a mask of disbelief as he stammered, "F-Fourth... hit me."
"Oh," Fourth replied blankly, before swinging his hand and smacking Chang Yu hard across the head.
The smack nearly sent Chang Yu into a daze, his head ringing as if it were about to burst.
"What the fuck?!" Chang Yu roared, rubbing his spinning head. "Why’d you hit me so hard? Are you trying to kill me?!"
"Uh, didn’t you tell me to hit you? Why are you yelling at me now?" Fourth asked, looking aggrieved.
"Damn it! Just because I told you to hit me doesn’t mean you had to go all out! How come you’re never this enthusiastic?!" Chang Yu shouted furiously, his eyes burning with rage.
"I didn’t even use that much force," Fourth muttered under his breath.
Luckily, Chang Yu didn’t hear him, or Fourth would have gotten another earful.
"Hey," Lin Kuang said with a smirk, looking at the fuming Chang Yu. "Didn’t you say you’d go die if these guys couldn’t handle me? Well, they’re all on the ground now. Time for you to die."
At Lin Kuang’s words, Chang Yu’s complexion changed, shifting from red to pale in a rather amusing spectacle.
"Ahem... well, you know... I-I was just joking. Sir, please don’t take it to heart. You’re busy, and I... I have things to do, so I’ll be going now. We’ll see each other another time!" Chang Yu stammered, then turned to run.
"Hold on. Did I say you could leave?" Lin Kuang said with a smirk. "You were so arrogant just a moment ago, and now you’re trying to run? You think I’m going to let you go?"
Upon hearing this, Chang Yu looked like he was about to cry. How could he possibly dare to oppose Lin Kuang now?
In his mind, he had already elevated Lin Kuang to the level of a monster. Damn, that was forty or fifty guys! He took them all out so easily. Shit, who wouldn’t be terrified after seeing that?
"Sir, how about we just let this slide? I truly didn’t mean to offend you," Chang Yu said cautiously. "As long as you don’t kill me, you can name any condition. I won’t argue or complain, I swear."
"Is that so?" Lin Kuang replied with a sly grin. "In that case, I’ll take you up on that offer."
"Go ahead, go ahead! As long as you don’t kill me, anything is fine!" Chang Yu said hurriedly.
"I seem to recall you mentioning that your old man is the boss of the East Sea’s underworld, is that right?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile after a moment’s thought.
"Ah, yes, that’s right," Chang Yu spoke up, his confidence surging again. He assumed Lin Kuang was intimidated by his father’s influence.
This guy is a total clown, it’s hilarious! Lin Kuang couldn’t help but laugh to himself.
"Alright, cut the crap," Lin Kuang said, his tone turning icy. "It doesn’t matter who your dad is. If I wanted you dead, you’d be a corpse right now."
Hearing this, Chang Yu trembled with fear and quickly changed his tune. "Yes, yes, you’re right, sir. May I ask why you’re asking about my dad?"
"Naturally, I have business with him. How about this: tomorrow at noon, arrange a meeting. Tell him I need to discuss something with him—a matter concerning his life and death. That’s all you need to say. Oh, right. And tell him my name is Lin Kuang," he said after a brief pause.
Since I’ve already secretly subdued the San Ye Sect, I might as well take control of the East Sea’s underworld boss. It’s not like these people will be of any immediate use, but they might come in handy later. Besides, it’s not like I have anything better to do during my time in Hangcheng.
"Ah? About that... I’m afraid my old man won’t agree to meet," Chang Yu said with a frown.
"Why not?" Lin Kuang couldn’t help but ask.
"Uh, it’s nothing. I’ll do my best to try," Chang Yu said hastily.
"Kid, I’m warning you," Lin Kuang said, his voice dropping as he shot Chang Yu a look full of lethal intent. "Don’t try to play any tricks on me. Otherwise, I don’t care where you hide. I will find you and cripple you."
You have to threaten guys like this, or they’ll never behave.
As expected, the murderous intent in Lin Kuang’s eyes did the trick. Chang Yu nodded fervently. "Okay, okay, don’t worry, don’t worry! I’ll definitely get my old man to meet you, I guarantee it!"
