67. Stark has a plan.

Ji Yuan's face darkened, and a semi-transparent fist materialized in the air, banging twice above Stark's head: "What are you talking about? What do you mean I'm dead?"

Stark covered his head and said, "Aren't you turning into a ghost like this? By the way, do you wizards go to hell or heaven when you die? I bet if you go to hell to be a devil, you'll be the best performer. If you go to heaven, you'll definitely be thrown back to hell."

Ji Yuan's face darkened even more; Stark's mouth was still so sharp and sarcastic.

"If I go to hell, I will definitely take you with me. And what I have is magic, not some kind of death turning into a ghost. Let's just call it a consciousness projection."

"A projection of consciousness?" Stark reached out and poked Ji Yuan's phantom. There was resistance on his finger. "Magic is too omnipotent. Sokovia is thousands of kilometers away from here. Not only can it project itself to talk to us, but it can even interfere with matter. It's outrageous."

"Alright, business is business. Ask me anything you need to ask, I'm going to make lunch soon," Ji Yuan said, swatting Stark's hand away.

"What exactly is this humanoid monster that looks so much like a vampire?" Stark asked.

"Me?" Peter looked bewildered.

Ji Yuan continued, "This monster is called Moron, from the inheritor family of Universe 001. To be precise, they are also vampires, but what they crave is life energy, not blood."

"Actually, Peter's superpowers did not come from that mutated spider. The spider was just a medium. The real source of power was the spider totem in the animal totem, which chose Peter."

"You chose me? Why?" Peter asked, puzzled.

"We've strayed from the topic, and now's not the time to talk about that. Let's get back to the monster and Peter," Ji Yuan continued.

"This family of heirs is also the inheritor of the totem. Their totem is the vampire totem, which requires them to absorb the power of other animal totems to strengthen themselves. The spider totem is their favorite."

"They used the special powers of the Weavers to travel through the multiverse, hunting Spider-Man in countless universes and absorbing their totem power."

"They're so rampant, isn't there any Spider-Man from any universe who could stop them? Or is there no genius like Stark from another universe to help?" Stark asked.

Ji Yuan shook his head and said, "The details are different in every universe. Perhaps in one universe, Stark doesn't like saving, but prefers destruction."

Yes, Peter realized then that if Ultraman hadn't saved him, he would have died long ago. His fate would have changed long ago. He had to practice hard to break free from this damned fate and never lose any of his loved ones.

"Then tell me the principle behind this Moron's resurrection, and his other abilities," Stark asked with great curiosity.

He wasn't afraid of any kind of fate. At worst, he would get Peter's family a set of defensive mechs and a detection system or something. If fate had any power, he would let the earth explode. Otherwise, no one could hurt Peter and his family.

Ji Yuan said, "Strictly speaking, they are not actually resurrected, but rather a kind of infinite cloning technology. When a member of the tribe dies while hunting, his consciousness is uploaded to the cloning center at the base."

"So what are their weaknesses?" Stark was more concerned about this, and rather than researching it himself, he decided to ask directly.

"Radiation. They can absorb the energy of the spider totem, but they cannot digest radiation. Radiation will make them extremely weak."

"Also, don't try to capture them. They can connect to the network and teleport back to their own universe at any time," Ji Yuan reminded him after thinking for a moment. Knowing Stark's personality, he would definitely want to get one for his own research.

After subtly teasing Stark, Ji Yuan felt quite pleased with himself. He then reminded him, "Morlen's mind has stopped. It won't be long before the Heir Family discovers this. They will definitely send people to investigate. You should prepare in advance."

Then he looked at Steve and said, "Steve, tell me when you're ready, and I'll open a portal for you."

Steve nodded.

The phantom image dissipated, and Ji Yuan's consciousness returned to Sokovia.
