Chapter 364 First Day of School
"Harry, long time no see! Where did you go for summer vacation?"
"We all went to the Quidditch World Cup, did you go?"
"Ah—" Harry scratched his head a little awkwardly, then said, "I have some things to do during the summer vacation—"
"I see—" The two Gryffindor students nodded thoughtfully, and then left.
"Tsk tsk tsk—" Ron, sitting next to Harry, clicked his tongue. "Harry, you're really unlucky—"
"The Ministry of Magic is also concerned for his safety," Hermione said, glancing at Ron. "Sirius escaped from Azkaban."
"And have you forgotten that he was hanging out with Death Eaters at the Quidditch World Cup?"
"Of course I haven't forgotten." Ron shrank back. "He almost killed me."
"So why did the Ministry of Magic only protect Harry? Shouldn't they have protected me too?"
"Do you think I want to be protected?" Harry glared at Ron, his mood extremely sour—he had spent almost half the summer in the Leaky Cauldron, being watched by different Aurors from the Ministry of Magic in rotation.
Anyone who didn't know better would think he was some kind of prisoner!
Then every letter had to be reviewed by the Aurors beforehand, and even replies from others had to be sent to the Ministry of Magic first, and then forwarded to Harry by the Aurors.
But thankfully, at least he's at Hogwarts now—no one's watching him anymore, right?
After all, Harry had just encountered patrolling Aurors on the train, something he had never seen before.
Therefore, it's understandable that he was in a very bad mood, but Ron shrugged and said, "It'll feel different when the Killing Curse is pointed at you!"
"He didn't use the Killing Curse—" Hermione rolled her eyes. "And Harry faced Voldemort before—he really did have to use the Killing Curse back then."
"————" Ron fell silent after Hermione's two sentences. He pursed his lips and said, "Anyway, I feel pretty good seeing Aurors————"
"Let's not talk about these things—" Hermione said quickly, seeing that Harry seemed about to say something again. "How about we talk about Professor Hamilton's books instead?"
"You've all seen it, right?"
"I didn't see it." Ron shook his head. "Our whole family's busy hiding from Sirius."
"I took a look," Harry shrugged. "Because under the Aurors' control, I can practically only read books."
"Then you must have seen about other magic arrays, right? Like the transmission magic array and the connection magic array—combining them together can actually—"
Seeing Hermione suddenly become interested, Ron and Harry exchanged a glance.
"She's like this all the time."
"That's true."
The two whispered to each other, then burst into laughter at the same time, which made Hermione roll her eyes in annoyance.
"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, please be quiet!" Professor McGonagall tapped her glass lightly before speaking.
As she spoke, the students who hadn't seen each other all summer and were chatting enthusiastically gradually quieted down.
"Headmaster Dumbledore has something to say." She coughed and then nodded to Dumbledore.
Harry and Ron only noticed the change in the professors' seats after she moved.
As expected, Professor Rozier was not there; in his place stood a seemingly gentle young man with a smile in his eyes, who was talking to Professor Hamilton about something.
Wait a minute—why does this feel a bit like the start of last semester?
"Is that another of Professor Hamilton's relatives?" Ron asked in a low voice.
His question was also a source of confusion for other students.
"Ahem, ahem, ahem." Dumbledore coughed a few times, then slowly said, "There will be two changes at Hogwarts this year—"
"First of all—because of a prisoner who escaped from Azkaban—the Ministry of Magic sent Aurors to Hogwarts."
"But everyone, don't be alarmed," Dumbledore nodded gently. "They won't interfere with our teaching."
"And many of our students definitely want to become Aurors—interacting with them will be very helpful for your future."
As he spoke, he looked behind him, where a middle-aged man with a serious expression stood.
"Don't be afraid, students—our Ministry of Magic will protect you all; he won't have a chance to enter the school." Scrimgeour's tone was cold and serious, his eyes sweeping over the students with a scrutinizing gaze.
Students who were seen by him instinctively shrank back.
His gaze swept not only over the students, but even over the professors.
Then he spent the most time on a certain professor who was wearing a mask.
"Thank you for the explanation, Mr. Scrimgeour of the Ministry of Magic." Dumbledore nodded to him, then said, "Besides that, there's something else."
"That was achieved through negotiations between the magic ministries of several European countries, as well as exchanges between the three schools."
"We have decided to reconvene the Three Kingdoms Championship this year."
His words immediately drew gasps of surprise; clearly, most of these students had heard of the Triwizard Tournament's reputation.
"You're making a fuss over nothing!" Loila, sitting on top, looked at the students with a hint of smugness. "I already knew that last semester!"
But thinking about it this way, Hagrid is actually quite impressive—except in front of him, he didn't let anything slip in front of the students.
Loila glanced at Hagrid, who was happily talking to Professor Flitwick, and subconsciously felt a little suspicious—are you still Hagrid? Could it be Sirius in disguise?
However, even if one drinks the compound decoction, it would probably be difficult to achieve that — and — Roy pursed his lips as he looked at Hagrid, who had accidentally stabbed Flitwick with a fork.
Okay, he really is Hagrid after all.
Dumbledore then explained the Triwizard Tournament again, and also mentioned the tournament he had discussed with Royla, which, unsurprisingly, sparked a heated discussion among the students.
After all, who didn't dream of becoming a champion in the Triwizard Tournament when they were young?
Loila probably didn't participate—but as for Muller—after thinking of her classmate, Loila pursed her lips slightly. He would definitely participate, right? But even if he didn't—he would always be a hero in her heart.
After all, he had not only helped him so many times, but also saved him so many times — Don't worry, Muller, I will avenge you this time.
It definitely will—Loira silently gripped her wand tightly—
"Loila—what's wrong?" Lupin, sitting next to her, asked as if he had sensed something. "Did you see someone suspicious?"
"No—no!" Loila snapped out of her daze and quickly waved her hands. "I was just—just spacing out!"

Lupin looked at her, puzzled, but through the mask, he had no idea what Miss Hamilton was really thinking.
