Chapter 302 Harry's Thoughts
"In that case, a sleeping potion is ready—if you're not a troll, you should be able to remember it after hearing it once, right?"
In the dimly lit Potions classroom, Severus Snape was explaining potions with a cold expression. As he spoke, he looked at the students below the stage, and finally his gaze settled on the face of a student who was obviously in a daze.
"Mr. Pott—" he practically spat out the name.
The student, who had been staring blankly for a moment, then jolted back to his senses.
"Professor Snape," he said somewhat guiltily as he slowly rose to his feet.
"Can you tell me—what ingredients are needed for the Sleeping Potion?" Snape approached slowly, a slightly mocking smile on his face. "I suppose Mr. Potts can think about other things without restraint during class."
"That should mean you're very familiar with today's lesson, right?"
"————" Harry looked at him silently without saying a word.
"Don't you know?" Snape raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "Then it seems our savior is still incapable of doing anything."
"Before thinking about other people's problems—think about saving yourself first." He said with a cold snort, "Gryffindor minus ten points."
Amidst the chuckles of the Slytherin students, Harry sat down awkwardly.
"Harry—what's wrong?" Hermione noticed his distraction and asked softly, "What are you thinking about?"
"It's related to Professor Hamilton," Harry muttered.
"Professor Hamilton?" Hermione paused for a moment. "Professor Hamilton is fine—I heard from the Pinecone Party members—she recovered quickly."
"It's not about recovery." Harry glanced cautiously at Snape, making sure his attention was elsewhere before whispering, "Don't you find that strange?"
"Professor Hodge suddenly fell from the sky or something —"
"It is a bit strange—" Hermione muttered, "but Headmaster Dumbledore has already said—Professor Hodge didn't get enough rest that day."
"You actually believe that?" Harry said quietly. "Something definitely doesn't seem right."
"So you suspect Professor Rozier?" Hermione thought for a moment and said, "But I don't think she would—murder Professor Hamilton, would she?"
"They just don't get along very well—"
"I think it's possible," Ron interjected. "Don't forget, Professor Rozier might very well be Grindelwald's—"
"Bang!"
Ron was hit hard on the head by a book, and Harry and Hermione next to him were also hit hard as well.
"What are you three discussing?" Snape sneered. "I doubt it has anything to do with our lesson."
"If there were a connection, there would be no need to be so secretive."
Seeing the three of them covering their heads and remaining silent, Snape shook his head: "I'll say it again—"
"Before you meddle in other people's business, you'd better take care of your own affairs first," he said with a cold snort. "Otherwise, you might 'die.'"
His words made all the Gryffindor students look rather unpleasant, while the Slytherin students wore mocking expressions.
"Snape definitely knows something!" Harry said unhappily as he stood in the hallway as soon as get out of class ended. "He said that on purpose."
"Very likely," Hermione nodded. "After all, he has a good relationship with Professor Rozier."
"Do you remember—in Hogsmeade—oh, sorry Harry?"
"9
"No—it's nothing." Harry shook his head to indicate that he didn't care; he was more interested in what Hermione had said.
"So he and Professor Rozier are friends?"
"Very likely." Hermione nodded. "Ron and I saw them both at Hogsmeade that day."
"They were buying medicinal herbs together."
"Tsk—" Ron clicked his tongue upon hearing this: "The two most evil people in all of Hogwarts have become allies?"
He shook his head as he spoke: "That was truly a disaster."
"Don't say that yet, Ron," Hermione rolled her eyes at him. "It's too early to say that now."
"Although Professor Rozier has ties to the UMNO party, we can't simply say that she did it."
"We need evidence." Her words made Harry nod slightly.
That's right—evidence—I can't be like I was last year and the year before, so easily suspecting other professors—even though Snape really isn't a good person.
But what if Professor Rozier is like Professor Hamilton last year?
Thinking this, Harry said softly, "Then I think we can investigate a little."
"How do we investigate?" Ron muttered. "Should we just ask her directly?"
"She's a professor, you know—how are we supposed to sneak into her office or something—oh, wait!" Ron suddenly nodded, as if struck by a sudden thought: "Invisibility Cloak."
“That’s right,” Harry nodded and said, “With this we can sneak in—”
"Sneak into the professor's office?" Hermione quickly shook her head. "What were you thinking?"
"It's no joke if we get found," Hermione said, pursing her lips.
"So what do you suggest we do?" Ron muttered. "Are we really going to just go and ask them directly?"
"We can change the time—oh, wait!" Hermione suddenly nodded as if she had an idea. "I have an idea."
"The Pinecone Party will be having a party on Valentine's Day," Hermione said in a low voice. "Professor Hamilton will be attending."
"And the location is Hogsmeade—" Hermione said, lowering her voice, "which means—if Professor Rozier really wants to do something to Professor Hamilton."
"The most likely route is on the road from Hogwarts to Hogsmeade," she said, winking. "All we need to do is secretly follow Professor Rozier."
"If we get caught, we can just say we went to a party," Hermione said, winking.
"That's a good idea." Harry nodded slightly, then asked as if he had thought of something, "But wouldn't it be better to go with Professor Hamilton?"
"No, no, no." Hermione shook her head: "If Professor Rozier really wanted to do anything to Professor Hamilton—"
We can't stop her!
"Wait a minute—" Harry said quietly as if he had just thought of something, "Then we can split up into two groups."
"Two people followed Professor Rozier—and the others went to check out her office—"
"Going to her office alone?" Ron lowered his voice. "Isn't that a bit too dangerous?"
"If there's anything in her office—"
"We can contact someone else," Hermione suddenly blinked as if she had remembered something. "I know someone who can help us."
"Who?" Harry and Ron looked at her at the same time.
"Miss Luna Lovegood."
