Chapter 65: Urgent! My roommate is a shaman [4th update]
Punctual.
I wasn't late, and there was even time to spare.
Ian ultimately did not give Snape a chance to ask him about the recipe for the Water of Life and Death.
"Ian! Over here! Over here!"
William, the green-haired boy, may have already arrived at the classroom.
He looked rather pathetic among the young wizards; while everyone else gathered in groups of three or five to discuss the upcoming lessons, he was all alone at a table.
Perhaps the friends he met on the Hogwarts Express were in the other two houses, while his good roommate Michael was shamelessly fawning over Slytherin.
Of the four houses in the first year of Hogwarts, only Michael and an unnamed girl from Slytherin have limited-edition skins. Michael is clearly a very traditional black guy.
"We've found out why Michael didn't say a word when we were talking about who was the most beautiful girl in the morning."
Ian walked toward William with a look of surprise on his face. His roommates were inexplicably enthusiastic and helped him spread out his textbooks, turning to the first chapter of today's Potions class.
"He's a traitor!"
William began to complain indignantly.
"I think it's pretty good."
Ian's inner conflict was instantly resolved, and he felt much better.
When Michael was ranking the little witches at breakfast, his silence had worried him for a long time. Now it seems that the little black girl just really loves the black pearl.
No problem!
"That girl just said 'good afternoon' to him, and he seemed completely captivated. The Slytherin students didn't seem to like him at all, but he kept going over to them."
"Sooner or later I'll be swindled out of every penny I have left," William muttered to himself, unsure if this was something he had experienced in the past.
"You guys are so precocious, unlike me, all I know is how to love learning." Ian looked around; there was still a while before class started, but there were already many little wizards in the classroom.
The Potions classroom wasn't large, but it could easily accommodate forty or fifty people, while there were only about thirty junior wizards, so the space was still quite spacious when they were distributed like this.
Besides the storage cabinets that take up a lot of space, there are also some biological specimens in bottles and jars in the classroom, and Potions teacher Snape has not yet arrived at the classroom.
"We're the same; I also only love learning."
William was overjoyed, as if he had finally found a kindred spirit. However, at that moment, a bright figure with a full head of platinum blonde hair walked into the Potions classroom carrying textbooks.
"It's her! The wicked woman from the Grindelwald family!"
"She must be coming to Hogwarts to gather a new generation of followers, Ian. You have to believe me, my grandfather was an Auror in Germany for decades."
William seemed to only talk about being studious; at the slightest sound, he couldn't help but look up to see what was happening. Unlike Ian, who was being shaken, he remained focused on reviewing his Potions textbook.
"A Thousand Magical Herbs and Mushrooms" and "Magic Potions and Elixirs".
"She's coming!"
William lowered his head nervously, afraid that his words had been overheard. In his unease, he noticed two books had been placed on his and Ian's desk.
"sorry."
William trembled and immediately cowered.
"??????"
Aurora glanced at the strange green-haired boy with a puzzled look.
"Your friend?"
She asked Ian curiously.
"Ian, we're good friends, right?" William suddenly grabbed Ian's arm, his voice tense, his frightened little eyes constantly switching between Ian and Aurora.
"Good afternoon, Aurora. William is my roommate. He's a bit shy."
Ian looked up at the German girl in front of him. He hadn't chosen to betray his good roommate. He felt this display of "loyalty" was worth at least ten times washing his socks.
"Yes," Aurora nodded, turning to look at William.
"Good afternoon, Ian's roommate."
William felt apprehensive at the greeting from the wicked woman of the Grindelwald family, and his response was somewhat stammering, showing that he was unusually nervous.
"Hello."
No one dared to call him by his name directly.
Even the most verbally aggressive person might not be this good.
"Potions class requires two people to team up. Would you like to team up with me?" Aurora didn't continue talking to William. She looked at Ian with a hint of expectation in her heterochromatic eyes.
"Is it possible to form a team across different colleges?"
Ian looked slightly puzzled.
and.
"William will probably team up with me." Honestly, Ian was really considering the possibility of his roommate being alone, but William next to him suddenly started packing his own things.
"I want to see the scenery in the distance." William's running posture was a bit strange. Perhaps it was because his legs were weak, but he stumbled and staggered all the way to the corner of the classroom.
William, who had no idea what kind of scenery he would see in that place, had completely lost all anticipation for his first Potions class after hiding in what he considered a "safe spot."
He stared at Aurora, who had sat down at Ian's table in the distance, his mind filled with frustration.
He kept muttering to himself.
"He called her Aurora, and she called him Ian—"—Why didn't anyone tell me sooner! At this moment, William's inner thoughts can be simply summarized.
urgent.
I just finished cursing the descendant of the first Dark Lord.
What should I do if I discover that my roommate is a staunch member of the Malay Communist Party?
"Your friend is such a coward." Aurora sat next to Ian, and she could understand why William was so terrified in front of her.
She had seen similar behaviors in many people.
"There's nothing we can do. He has autism and has never been able to talk to strangers since he was little." Ian still loves autism. He looked toward the Slytherin area.
"Don't I have autism?"
Aurora blinked.
"Everyone takes turns isolating themselves; that's what makes it fair." Ian's gaze remained fixed on the Slytherin group.
"When you came out of the common room, were there any young wizards still in your Slytherin common room?" He checked the time; there were only a few minutes left before class.
"Are you trying to ask about Miss Daphne Greengrass?" Aurora understood Ian's reaction, and she shook her head helplessly as she spoke softly.
"She's still asleep. Snape said she was too traumatized and might need to sleep for another two days." He then finished speaking.
After a slight pause, the German girl spoke in a low voice.
"I think she might be pretending not to be awake."
As the saying goes, great minds think alike.
Ian thought so too.
"That must be it! She's such a bad person!" Ian let go of his hand that was in his pocket.
His expression showed slight disappointment.
Aurora opened her mouth with a strange expression.
Before she could even speak.
"Boom!"
Snape strode into the classroom in a flurry of activity. With a wave of his hand, the Potions classroom door slammed shut, clearly indicating that no more latecomers would be allowed to enter.
The entire room fell silent.
Ian was also somewhat bewildered.
What happened to the segment for those who are foul-mouthed and late?
He was still looking forward to watching the show.
[P.S.: I uploaded chapters 62 and 63 in the wrong order just now; I've corrected it now.]
