Chapter 632: The Tunnel Of Love.
In this tunnel, the siphoning force of the world barrier had gone. Even the suppression effect of the world barrier was gone.
With these two things gone, Heavy Anvil could now use his full strength and didn’t have to worry about losing lifespan every second. But this wasn’t the worst part.
What was worse than Heavy Anvil recovering his full power was that the tunnel went through the entire world barrier and created a path for everyone outside the tunnel. He could even see the divine beings on both sides of the world barrier, and they could also see him.
But that still wasn’t the worst part. The fact that everyone outside the world barrier could now get into the world barrier without worrying about the adverse effect of the world barrier still wasn’t the most important thing to worry about.
What he found most appalling was that he could sense with his Insight Stat that the barrier that formed the tunnel was too strong for him to break or pass through. So he was trapped here within the tunnel like a rat in a barrel.
When he realized all of these, he said to himself, ’It seems it is time to leave.’
He didn’t even think twice or bother with the rest of his investigation to find out what they were planning before he activated the Rewind Metac.
His action in activating the Rewind Metac caused his body to freeze. So everyone who was looking at him thought that he had frozen in fright.
Everyone on both sides of the world barrier rushed into the tunnel after him. Heavy Anvil also manifested an anvil and smashed it into his head.
Meanwhile, Fenrir had destroyed the Cave Heaven and swallowed the new Divine Position of the Soul Hammer. Then Fenrir took the Rewind Metac into the River of Time.
The Rewind Metac took Fenrir upstream of the River of Time into the past. Only now could he relax completely.
He sighed in relief and said, "It seems a Dao Lord wasn’t waiting in ambush. I thought for a minute there that a Dao Lord would jump at me at the last moment to stop me from escaping. Fortunately, it seems they have something better to do."
"Now that all of that mess is behind me, I should plan for the future. The priority right now is eating this new Divine Position. Fenrir wasn’t particularly interested in it, but I hope that I gain something from it."
"If I gain something from eating this Divine Position, I will try to get more Divine Positions to try out. If I gain nothing from it, I will stick to the Gold Body Divine Position."
"The Thorn House of Commerce is troublesome, but I know them, and I’m familiar with them. I’m not familiar with the Army of Metal and the other alliances, so I shouldn’t bother with them."
He had decided to quit the Gold Body Divine Position and create his own Divine Position to start with a clean slate. But now he knows that there is no such thing as a clean slate.
He is sure now that regardless of how he becomes a Divine Position, he will get into trouble with someone who wants his Divine Metac and an alliance in that pathway that wants him to surrender his Cave Heaven to them.
So even though the Gold Body Divine Position will come with the trouble of dealing with the Thorn of Commerce, it seems better to deal with it because the Thorn House of Commerce is the devil he knows, and they are better to deal with than the devils he doesn’t know.
"Secondly, the process of creating a new Divine Position will take too long and will expose me to investigation that I won’t be able to block because I’m not a divine being of the Blessed Heaven World yet."
"Thirdly, I would have to sacrifice a small world to create the Divine Position. Unless I gain something from eating the new Divine Position, it won’t be worth it to sacrifice a small world when I can get an easily accessible Divine Position from Monarch Gold Body."
"So for now, creating a new Divine Position doesn’t seem to be worth it. But regardless of how I become a divine being, I still have to acquire a lot of power quickly. This means I will have to find a way to kill a lot of divine beings quickly for their Cave Heaven and Divine Metacs."
"It is either I kill divine beings, or I plunder worlds. But the alternative requires me to find worlds first. So I still need to solve the problem of how to find worlds."
He continued to make plans for his future for a while longer. But he had to stop when the Rewind Metac left the River of Time and entered the physical world.
In the physical world, Loki had just finished devouring the first Divine Position that he brought back. This Divine Position was the one he got from Gold Body.
He was supposed to stand up and get to work at this point. But Fenrir from the future came with a second Divine Position. So he had to get busy assimilating this second Divine Position.
This time, he didn’t spend much on it. In just 32 seconds, he was done assimilating the Divine Position.
Unfortunately for him, while the fusion was quick, Loki didn’t gain anything from it. He checked his attributes again and again with the Power Identification Ability just to be sure. Unfortunately, devouring the Divine Position didn’t make any difference.
This made him grumble inwardly, saying, ’At least, a world heart would have given me some lifespan for devouring it. But these Divine Positions are hollow and give nothing. It is almost as if they are empty containers.’
’If I didn’t know any better, I would say that the sects are scamming us with these Divine Positions by emptying out everything good within the heart of the world and giving us an empty container that represents power.’
