Chapter 6 Kaffa and the Silver Wolf
Chapter 6 Kaffa and the Silver Wolf
"Thump! Thump thump thump! Thump thump..." As a beautiful canon melody rang out, a large number of phantom soldiers poured into various parts of the Black Tower Space Station. As phantoms of destruction, they launched a frenzied attack on the surrounding crowd.
"Guide and evacuate quickly!" Estella quickly arranged for people to begin evacuating the crowd, but she was very puzzled and shocked. Why were there suddenly any spies invading?
Although she didn't know the reason, Estella felt more at ease knowing that the person was still on the space station.
"Has the plot started yet?" Feeling the vibrations and noises around him, Chen Feng left the chat group. It had been several days, and he was finally waiting for the plot to begin.
"I've lived here for quite a while now, so let me test the power of this Guardian Token and see how it really works."
Chen Feng stood at the doorway, looking down at the illusory soldiers whose destruction was beginning, and muttered to himself.
……
On the other side, a purple-haired beauty lowered her loosely clenched hand, feeling the vibrations around her, her expression utterly calm.
"Looks like I've come at the wrong time..." the purple-haired beauty murmured to herself, looking ahead as if everything that was happening had nothing to do with her.
"No, I think you've come at just the right time." A languid voice drifted from the air in front of the purple-haired beauty, and then a screen with a wolf-shaped seal appeared in front of her.
"System time 23:47:15, you're right on time, Kafka." The voice spoke again, calling out the purple-haired beauty's name.
Kafka is infamous throughout the universe, but not for her reputation. As a member of the Star Core Hunters, she is wanted by the company with a high bounty on her head.
"But something unexpected happened." The lazy voice spoke again, but this time the tone was somewhat serious.
"Oh?" Kafka frowned slightly. For them, who possessed the "script," surprise was not a good word.
"Originally, at 23:44:59 system time, the pulse generated by the explosion would have caused a large-scale paralysis of the main control system, triggering the explosion and causing the elevator to stop."
"But now..."
Listening to the man's words, Kafka said thoughtfully, "Is it related to the Black Tower Space Station suddenly leaving its original course?"
"It's uncertain whether there's a necessary connection between the two. Elio didn't say, but it's most likely because of that variable," the voice said again.
"Anyway, let's finish the mission quickly. We're no match for that variable right now. Let's awaken it before it's discovered."
"By the way, the Legion just invaded the space station, and we might have to fight them. Eriol wasn't in the script, so it doesn't matter. Do whatever you want." The voice added again before closing the screen.
Behind the screen, a silver-haired girl sighed helplessly: "What a pity. I was planning to have some fun at the Black Tower, but something unexpected happened, so there's nothing I can do."
Kafka frowned slightly. It was a variable, after all. Then the elevator doors in front of her opened, revealing several illusory soldiers.
"Well, since we haven't been discovered yet, let's finish this quickly." Kafka sighed, just about to make a move on the phantom soldiers.
But just then, a slightly amused voice came from beside him: "What do you mean by 'not being discovered'?"
Kafka stopped what she was doing and turned her gaze toward the direction from which the sound came.
A black-haired young man had somehow taken up a sofa in the corner of the area, looking at her with a mocking expression.
"Is he the variable? As expected, he's someone who doesn't exist in the script." Kafka muttered to herself, her expression unchanged, without even a hint of surprise.
The black-haired youth was none other than Chen Feng. For a commander, clearing out some weak soldiers was as simple as breathing.
"Sorry, I couldn't help but speak up just now. Please continue." Chen Feng pointed to the illusory soldiers. No one usually comes to this area, so Chen Feng didn't make a move and let the story continue.
This is the first time in my life I've ever experienced a story unfolding right before my eyes; it's quite novel.
Kafka looked at Chen Feng speechlessly.
After thinking for a moment, he said to Chen Feng, "Sir, you should do it. Since we've already been discovered, let's save ourselves the trouble."
"Tch, boring." Hearing this, Chen Feng regretted his earlier teasing. With a casual clench of his hand, the phantom soldiers collided violently together as if they had been squeezed by something, exploding in the blink of an eye and coalescing into a sphere the size of a marble.
"Consider it a small gift." Chen Feng stood up and casually moved the explosive "marble" in front of Kafka.
I appreciate your kind gesture, but I'm afraid I'm not worthy of receiving this gift.
Looking at the "marbles" in front of her, Kafka felt like they were a ticking time bomb and shook her head in refusal.
"No way, this is the first time I've given someone something without refusing them." Chen Feng threw the marble at Kafka, who caught it instinctively.
Feeling the warmth in her hand, Kafka looked at Chen Feng and had a strange sense of déjà vu.
"Perhaps I shouldn't have taken on this mission. Silver Wolf should have done it; you two might have a lot in common."
Silver Wolf is the same person who just spoke with Kafka in the void; he is also one of the Star Core Hunters.
"There's a chance," Chen Feng said with a smile. "Alright, continue with your script. I'm quite curious."
Kafka wasn't surprised that Chen Feng knew about the script. It was no secret to these powerful individuals that Star Core Hunters possessed "scripts."
Kafka: ...
Kafka was at a loss as to what to do with Chen Feng. She couldn't beat him, so she could only let him do as he pleased. Fortunately, Chen Feng's personality was quite similar to Silver Wolf's, which made Kafka feel a little more at ease.
Having encountered many geniuses along the way, Chen Feng wasn't surprised, as he had seen them before when replaying the plot in his previous life.
Chen Feng was a little disappointed that the dialogue in the plot didn't happen, probably because he was there. He could clearly sense that there were eyes watching him from the air, which should be Silver Wolf.
Since you don't want to come out, then don't. You'll come out eventually anyway, so Chen Feng let Silver Wolf do as he pleased.
After walking through several rooms, Kafka glanced at Chen Feng, then spoke casually to the air, "Silver Wolf, come out. You've been discovered. Tell me where the target is."
"Tch!" A disgruntled voice rang out in the air, and then a silver-haired girl dressed in purple appeared in front of the two of them.
"You really have a twisted sense of humor. You clearly noticed me but didn't say anything. Were you watching a circus clown?" Silver Wolf said to Chen Feng in an annoyed tone.
