Chapter 288: Twins Score
"Is it Hogwarts? He hid the Philosopher's Stone there!" Ron shouted immediately.
Everyone shushed him again. They heard footsteps coming up the stairs and held their breath.
"It's Mom." George whispered in Afro's ear.
Fred hid Afro and Hermione behind a cabinet, and with a "pop", two figures disappeared from the room.
A few seconds later, Afro heard the sound of shoes hitting the floor outside the door. Molly was obviously lying at the door listening to see if they were talking.
The floorboards creaked again.
Fred and George knocked three times on the door and took the two little girls back.
"Mom doesn't trust us at all." Ron lay down again in frustration, pulled the quilt over his head, and said good night to Harry in a mumbling voice.
"You tell us nothing."
As soon as Hermione entered the bedroom, Fred closed the door. Afro struggled weakly twice in George's arms.
"What are you talking about?"
"Really? You didn't even tell us you were joining the Order of the Phoenix," George said, tracing the shape of her ears with his lips.
"I only found out about joining the Order of the Phoenix today. I happened to catch up with a meeting..."
Fred and George carried her back to their bedroom, and the three of them once again squeezed into one bed, with Afro trapped tightly between them.
Under their questioning, Afro whispered to them what had happened.
“That’s really all.”
"Little baby, do you know what he is looking for?" Fred put his arm around her shoulders and said softly.
"Well..." There was a hint of laughter in Afro's voice. She put her arms around Fred's neck and blew at him playfully. "Guess?"
Just as George was about to speak, he heard some voices outside the door.
He snorted and pulled the blanket over the three of them, "If you don't want to talk, don't leave tonight."
The next morning, Afro woke up between two burning chests.
Noticing that she was awake, Fred smoothed her hair considerately, "Did you sleep well last night?"
Afro hummed twice in dissatisfaction. How could these two big lions not know whether she slept well or not?
"Mom said it's time to get up." George's loud voice came from the bathroom, "Sweetheart, we'll take you back in a minute."
After a while of gurgling water, George continued to shout, "Fred, don't steal food!"
Fred's hand on his back showed no sign of leaving.
"How's it going? Does it still hurt?"
Afro leaned weakly on his shoulder and answered hoarsely, "A little bit, sour."
"Let me massage it for you." After saying that, Fred took her little hand and placed it in his palm and massaged it carefully.
When Avro came downstairs, Percy had been waiting for a long time by the restaurant, and he looked a little anxious.
"Fred, George! You'd better be quiet tonight!" He glared angrily at the two people following Afro.
Fred smiled and said, "I see, my dear brother."
"Did something happen?" Afro looked at Percy's sweaty forehead, took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped it carefully.
"Fudge changed the date of Harry's hearing," Percy said hastily. "He obviously doesn't want Dumbledore to go."
There was indeed such a scene in the original plot, but thanks to Kingsley's help, the crisis was resolved.
"What do we do now?" George asked worriedly.
"We have to rush to the Ministry of Magic now. Mom asked you to help clean up at home."
Percy gave a few more hurried instructions and headed out the door with his briefcase.
Molly stood at the kitchen door, praying to Merlin.
"Don't worry, Harry will be fine." Afro comforted them.
