Chapter 257 Ron's Birthday

Chapter 257 Ron's Birthday

Before Afro could answer, soft lips covered her mouth again.

When Afro returned to the lounge, Ron was describing their experience at the bottom of the lake in vivid detail.

In reality, Ron and Hermione were hypnotized by Dumbledore's magic in Professor McGonagall's office, and there was no danger involved.

But in Ron's mouth, it turned into that they fought with a dozen mermen with bare hands and were finally tied up and taken away.

"Little Ron, how do you fight them?" Fred hissed loudly, hugged Afro's shoulders and whispered in her ear, "Maybe the mermaids don't like his snoring too loudly!"

Ron's face turned red when he heard his good brother's words.

“Although there are some discrepancies… that’s it.”

However, Ron's story later became much more normal.

For the first time, Hagrid, the professor of Care of Magical Creatures, did not continue to feed fried conchs with his students, but instead found some unicorns.

Many girls exclaimed in admiration after seeing the unicorn.

Afro boldly touched the horn of the little unicorn that was close to her, and the unicorn rubbed the corner of her clothes affectionately.

"Little Afu likes it?" After seeing this, Draco held her with one hand and wanted to touch the unicorn with the other hand.

However, the unicorn did not give the young master any face. It dug the soil with its golden hooves and raised its horned head.

"Boys, back off!" Hagrid shouted with his arms outstretched. He still remembered the last time Draco was injured in his class.

He didn't think he could bear Lucius's wrath again!

Draco curled his lips and pulled Aphrodite over with a little disappointment, "What's so good about unicorns? Next time I'll take you to see white peacocks!"

The unicorn raised its front half of its body and kicked twice in the air with its two front hooves.

Draco shook himself off and stood silently by the stable fence.

Afro stroked the frightened unicorn soothingly, then leaned down to whisper in its ear, "Don't bully your sister's boyfriend."

Draco, who happened to hear these words, had his ears tinged with a barely noticeable red.

The sun was setting outside the window. Ron was sitting in the library, anxiously flipping through spell books. There were already several piles of books in front of him.

"This is the first time I've seen Ron working so hard in the library!" Hermione muttered, moving a candle closer so she could see the tiny words on the parchment.

Avro took the time to look at Ron who was sitting opposite him and working very hard, and nodded in agreement with Hermione's opinion, "Indeed, I even suspect that Professor Snape gave him some potion to drink!"

Ron turned the page and dipped his finger in the ink again.

"I have an exam coming up soon, and my books are still as good as new."

"I've already told you to be diligent in your studies!" Hermione rolled her eyes, packed up her books, and stood up. "I have an appointment, so I'm leaving now!"

As Ron wrote, he looked at Hermione's back as she left. "Do you feel like Hermione seems to be missing lately?"

"It's probably spring."

Ron, who didn't understand the implication of Afro's words, turned his head and looked at her in confusion.

Speaking of spring, Afro suddenly remembered that Ron and the twins' birthdays were in March.

"Ron, your birthday is coming up, is there anything you want?"

Ron was thinking of something. His hand holding the quill paused slightly, and his cheeks turned slightly red.

"Ah? Why are you asking this suddenly? Didn't you always..."

"How is this the same?" Afro propped up his chin and looked straight at the young boy opposite him, his eyebrows curved, "This is the first birthday we've celebrated since we were together!"

“It has a different meaning!”

After hearing her explanation, Ron's face turned even redder. "But I don't know what I want—"

"Why not just do it the same as before?"

Afro looked at the birds flying outside the window and tapped her cheek regularly with her index finger.

Seeing the girl's conflicted look, Ron felt that he was being so pretentious. If his girlfriend wanted to give him a gift, she could just do it directly, instead of making Afro think about it.

"Can I talk about it on my birthday?" He said carefully, his left hand unconsciously curling the edge of the paper, "It doesn't matter if you can't--"

"Of course!" Afro couldn't bear to see Ron disappointed, so he held his hand and promised, "On your birthday, I won't refuse any wish you make."
