Chapter 248 Preparing for the Coronation
Chapter 248 Preparing for the Coronation
Afro looked at Neville's receding back, and her heart ached.
She always felt sorry for this poor boy, for his secret efforts, and for the fact that he was always ignored...
"Tsk, it seems my worries were wrong." Noah came over again wearing an uninhibited outfit, his misty blue hair glowing with a halo from the sunlight.
"What worries?"
"I'm worried that you don't have a dance partner." Noah's voice sounded a little lazy, but it made people want to beat him up.
He did not give Afro a chance to refute, and continued, "Your uncle is ready to support you."
Afulo felt that this person was born to be her nemesis. It must be that the world saw that her life was going too smoothly and gave her such an enemy!
"You're not needed. You should worry about yourself!" Afro said harshly and swung her ponytail hard.
The ends of his hair scratched his cheek and it hurt.
Noah lowered his head and smiled, his cheeks still slightly sore, and he whispered "little fool".
On Christmas Day, Afro did not receive any gift from her boyfriend for the first time. It was their first Christmas together.
Not only that, she didn't see these boys the whole day.
"Sure enough, once a man gets what he wants, he doesn't cherish it anymore."
Hermione couldn't help but roll her eyes as she listened to Aphrodite sigh for the fiftieth time in the dormitory.
"Maybe they have another surprise for you?"
"But the dance is only five hours away!"
Hermione reluctantly dragged a large package out from under Avro's bed and pushed her and the package into the bathroom.
"Why don't you prepare yourself? Stop thinking about this~"
When she thought of the ball, Afro put aside the thought of why she didn't receive any gifts and began to look forward to the evening.
However, when she opened the package and saw the dress Mrs. Campbell had prepared for her, she was dumbfounded.
Hermione used the magic hair potion that Aphrodite gave her, and her fluffy hair became smooth and obedient, and she could faintly smell the scent of violets.
She took a purple ribbon and decorated her hair. She heard the door open behind her, and while fixing her hair, she turned around and looked towards the bathroom.
"Merlin's briefs!"
The blonde girl was wearing a layered, intricate and gorgeous dress; the skirt was decorated with countless flowers and lace; pink bows were regularly decorated on each pleat.
A long ribbon was tied around her slender waist, hanging down onto the edge of her lace skirt which was held up by a huge bustle.
Afro lifted a corner of her skirt and carefully squeezed through the narrow aisle. The cuffs, which looked like three layers of lotus leaves, just covered her elbows, revealing her fair arms.
"Afro, are you preparing for your coronation?"
Afro looked down at the large skirt that took up space for three people and plucked the flowers on it helplessly. "I think it's too exaggerated!"
“I think my mom imagined the ball as a coronation ceremony.”
Hermione looked at the intricately crafted dress and shook her head, sighing that it was only then that she remembered that her good sister was a real aristocrat.
His ancestors had entered the country with Wellington, and he is a genuine British aristocrat.
"How about I change into something else?"
Hermione quickly stopped Aphrodite from taking off her dress, "Don't! This is so beautiful!"
"Let me help you with your hairstyle!" Hermione took the comb and pulled Aphrodite in front of the mirror, and quickly styled her hair with the help of the wand.
The golden hair was curled into small curls and tied behind the head, with pearl chains interspersed between the hair, making her look elegant and gentle.
"I think those little boys will be fascinated by you."
After their busy preparations, it was almost seven o'clock in the evening.
Afro quickly put on some light makeup.
"How about it?"
"Perfect!" Hermione picked up the small handbag and slung it around her wrist, blushing and saying, "I have to go first. Krum and I agreed to meet at the entrance of the Great Hall."
In fact, there were few people left in the lounge. Afro once again looked at herself in the mirror, dressed up, and began to feel nervous for no reason.
She took a deep breath, gently lifted the hem of her skirt with her left hand, and pushed open the door of the lounge.
There were many people gathered in the foyer of the auditorium, and everyone was chatting together in pairs with their dance partners.
Cedric and Harry, dressed in neatly ironed three-piece suits, were waiting for Afro at the bottom of the stairs with one hand in their pockets.
Suddenly, the conversation became quieter and quieter, gradually turning into small exclamations.
Cedric turned around subconsciously and saw the queen-like girl slowly coming down the stairs.
The soft hem of the skirt slid across the steps, and the crisp sound of the heels seemed to knock on his heart.
(The dress is based on eighteenth-century Rococo costumes.)
