Chapter 212: Standing Up for Percy
Chapter 212: Standing Up for Percy
By the time Avro and Percy came out, Bagman and Crouch were already discussing whether to allow the flying carpet to enter the British market.
Crouch took the cup of tea from Percy and drank it eagerly. The work of the Quidditch match kept him busy and he didn't even have time to drink a sip of water.
"I really hope these things can be over soon. Okay Bagman, we have to go talk to the Bulgarians about adding seats."
Crouch pressed the empty cup back into Percy's hand, "Thanks for the tea, Weatherby."
Percy, who had been called by his name incorrectly twice, felt a little embarrassed. He wanted to correct the other person, but chose to accept it because of the other person's identity.
Crouch stood by the road, waiting for Bagman to get up, when Avro suddenly walked up to him.
"Good day, Mr. Crouch."
Crouch looked her over calmly. "What is it, Miss Campbell?"
"Mr. Crouch has made an invaluable contribution to the smooth running of this Quidditch match."
Avro's polite words made Crouch very happy, but he was very humble and said that Minister Fudge had given good command and he was just doing what he should do.
Afro looked at him straight and suddenly smiled. "Mr. Crouch is very busy at work, so it's inevitable that he will make mistakes, such as not remembering the names of his subordinates."
Crouch paused visibly, as if no one had ever dared to point this question at him. He sternly said to the girl, "It's not important."
"This is very important." Afro met his gaze without fear. "Mr. Crouch, don't you know that there is an old saying in the East: 'Put your heart in others' shoes and treat them with your heart'?"
"His name is Percy Weasley, not Weatherby."
Arthur wanted to interrupt Afro several times, but as a father, he naturally didn't want his child to suffer at work. Hesitation and entanglement made Arthur miss the best opportunity to interrupt, and all he could do now was smile on the side.
Bagman poured himself another cup of tea with great interest, looking very happy and lively.
Percy felt that there was no need for Avro to make Crouch unhappy because of him, so he stepped forward and wanted to apologize, but was held down by the twins and Harry.
Afro's criticism of Crouch was not only because of his disrespect and perfunctory attitude towards Percy, but also because he was always confused about Crouch Jr.'s affairs.
He clearly wanted to be selfless, but he turned a blind eye to Crouch Jr.'s escape from prison at the expense of his mother, and even helped him cover it up.
If we say that Crouch doted on his son, he could also cruelly imprison him in Azkaban; but if we say that he was selfless for the public, he helped his son escape pursuit many years later.
He also indirectly caused Cedric's death.
As if he was embarrassed, or as if it was the first time he was lectured by a junior, Crouch looked at Afro with a gloomy face.
"Thank you for your advice, Miss Campbell." Crouch turned around so hard that his robes rustled. He glanced at Draco standing in the crowd.
"Mr. Malfoy, your father is waiting for you to find him."
After saying that, Crouch left without waiting for Bagman to stand up. Bagman struggled to finish the tea in the cup and hurriedly followed Crouch's figure.
Only after they disappeared from view did Arthur turn his head to look at the leisurely Afro and said, "Thank you, Afro."
Afro waved her hand nonchalantly, she was only doing this for Percy, it was out of her own selfish desire.
"Sweetheart, that was so handsome, it made me like you even more!" George suddenly put his arms around her shoulders, and Afro's back was pressed tightly against his chest.
Fred smiled and hugged Afro from the front. His soft hair rubbed against her cheek, making her feel itchy.
"I always liked the little ones best."
Even though they were twins and brothers, it couldn't stop them from being jealous of each other in front of Afro.
As childish as a kindergarten kid.
Arthur looked at the three people huddled together, his eyebrows raised in understanding, and in his heart he couldn't help but think about his relationship with Mr. Campbell.
Harry pulled the two red lions that were stuck to Afro with a stern face and held the girl in his arms.
"Afu~" The deliberately elongated ending tone was accompanied by sparkling eyes and a pitiful look.
Afro finally understood why the king did not hold court early in the morning.
Seeing Harry acting like a spoiled brat, she didn't want to attend the morning court.
