One Piece: It's always been you

After Chapter 56, I'll be with You, so you don't need to worry about me.

After Chapter 56, I'll be with You, so you don't need to worry about me.

On the other side, the man was facing a machine with a faint light on its screen. This machine was exactly the same as the one he had seen in his dream.

"Sir, why did you let her see what happened before she entered the world of the book?"

“That was her own dream; I couldn’t stop it.” The man’s tone was somewhat heavy. “How’s their research going?”

"Sir, the experiment is still ongoing..."

"Tell them to hurry!" The man pinched the bridge of his nose, quite dissatisfied with his men. "Lulu, when the time comes, you go in again as Celluloid. You and I will work together from the inside to bring her back as soon as possible."

"Yes!" The person behind her was named Lulu. She was not only the Celluloid who was killed by You in the Misty Forest but came back to life, but also the Celluloid who sent people to capture the little girl when You was a child.

“I’m afraid if this drags on any longer, she’ll have too much contact with the people inside and won’t be able to come back.” The man’s gaze fell on the comic book next to the machine.

Due to Yu's unintentional obstruction, the machine malfunctioned, causing her to appear in the pirate world as an infant. She had no memory and was adopted by Sengoku, who happened to be passing through at the time.

During her time in the navy, she was surrounded by navy personnel; she was a character in the book, but at least she hadn't yet become involved with the main characters.

Because he hadn't been able to contact the main characters, he couldn't tell which one was Yu, so he could only arrest the orphans without parents and interrogate them one by one.

Later, at the moment the castle on the island was cleaved open, he saw the little girl next to the strange-faced man. He was certain that the person was her. To be 100% sure, he rewrote the contents of the book to make Shanks unable to move, and even wanted him to take that shot and die on the spot, but he failed.

It was around that time that he realized the characters couldn't be changed too much, especially anything that would affect the ending. And Yu was involving more and more people, so he couldn't just let her leave.

He needs to figure out a way to break off their contact so he can bring her back!

Time in the book's world is different from reality. Yu spent seventeen years there, but in reality, it's just that the number of pages she turned was different.

He can enter any time in the book. When he first found Yu, he naively thought that as long as he moved time forward, he could take her away before she was adopted by Sengoku. But she became a character in the book, and what had already happened could not be changed.

With Yu's presence, the future of the book is no longer under his control, and he can only travel between the present and the past.

Does that mean a real, living person will forever remain only in a book?

In the East China Sea, two ships sail towards their respective destinations. It's uncertain when they'll meet again, but Yu has Shanks' Vivre Card, so finding him shouldn't be difficult.

Where to go next?

"Didn't you want to go to the windmill village? You've seen the people you wanted to see, so you're not going anymore?"

Shanks previously mentioned that he lost his arm while rescuing a child in Windmill Village, and Yu is quite curious about which family's child has such great charm.

However, Yu had a vague idea in her mind. "Go!" Among the children in Windmill Village, there were only two who could get into trouble with the bandits, but it was probably the younger one. "I'll take you to meet those two troublemakers."

"You know quite a lot of people..." He had lost count of how many people this was along the way, and Yuko was truly a pleasant surprise.

"Don't worry, none of them can compare to you!" Yu waved his hand, surely Katakuri isn't scared? "By the way, what did Shanks whisper to you before he left?"

They'd only known each other for two days, and when they parted, Shanks didn't say goodbye properly; instead, he was whispering to Katakuri.

"It's nothing." Katakuri didn't want to talk about it...

He couldn't very well tell Yu that Shanks was showing off to him.

"Katakuri, Yu's powers were out of control when she was little, but it was because she was so worried about me when I got injured. Ah, she really cares about me~" Shanks felt that wasn't enough, so he added, "Don't be too envious, it's just that I met her so early on."

Katakuri looked completely bewildered. Shanks walked over and patted him on the shoulder, "So this is what you wanted to say?"

If it weren't for Shanks' own domineering aura and his understanding of the Red-Haired Pirates, this would probably really be... well, never mind. It would just make him seem petty.

"I'm not envious. At least I'll be with her from now on. I'll take good care of You while you're gone. You don't need to worry about me."

Yu watched the two from behind, their eyes meeting. Shanks patted Katakuri, looking puzzled.

It seems like she's the other woman?

Now that Katakuri isn't telling Yu, Yu is even more suspicious. "Stingy, so stingy!"

Judging by the timeline, these two troublemakers should be eight and six years old now, respectively. I really can't wait to meet them!

I remember when Grandpa Garp brought Yu to Windmill Village, Ace had just been born. He was still nursing and didn't have much hair yet. He was babbling and making a lot of noise.

Yu spent over a year with Ace in Windmill Village, and then started going out to sea with Rosinante. Occasionally, when they passed through the East China Sea, Yu would go back to visit. Later, he heard that Grandpa Garp had brought a baby to Windmill Village, supposedly his grandson, and Yu went to see him a couple of times.

Later, he and Rosinante's brother became undercover agents for the Don Quixote Family. Around the same time, Vergo also became an undercover agent for the Don Quixote Family within the Navy.

During his undercover work, Yu also vaguely realized that these two, though young, were capable of causing trouble that should not be underestimated. No wonder they were Yu's younger brothers; they were always a handful even as children.

On a hilltop near Windmill Village in the Goa Kingdom, three small figures darted back and forth. Two children ran side by side, while a third chased after them, calling out, "Ace, wait for me!"

The one called Ace was a black-haired boy with a few freckles on his cheeks. Next to him was a blond boy named Sabo, wearing a blue shirt and black jacket. And behind them was Luffy.

Sabo said, "Ace, your brother is calling you!"

Ace said, "Ignore him, he's just a little tagalong who only knows how to cry."

"Ace! Wait for me!" Luffy felt he was running very fast, but he still couldn't catch up with the two people in front of him.

"Take your time running, we'll see when you catch up, hahaha."

Ignoring Luffy behind them, the two sped off.

Even at a young age, Ace and Sabo already had plans to become pirates, and the two of them would try to acquire jewels and Berries every day.

Luffy follows them around every day, hoping he can be like them. He wants to be a pirate too, and he wants to return the hat to Shanks!

Luffy is destined to become the Pirate King!

(Here I am! Our adorable ASL trio is almost here! Hahaha, Wang Lufei is coming! Looking forward to their reunion with You!)

(The first half of this chapter should have explained things clearly. Simply put, Yu entered the book only to see Katakuri, but an accident occurred and she was turned into an infant, which led to her becoming entangled with the people inside. Now, to bring her out, they must sever their connection with the people inside the book. How to sever it will be explained later. Also, what has already happened in the book cannot be changed, and because of Yu's appearance, what will happen in the book in the future is unpredictable.)
