One Piece: It's always been you

Chapter 46 Shanks and Yu (3)

Chapter 46 Shanks and Yu (3)

"You, you've been out for so long, aren't you going back? Isn't your grandfather looking for you?"

"Shanks, that's really going too far! Are you trying to get rid of me because you think I've been with you guys for too long?"

One in red and one in pink, one big and one small, were perched on the edge of the boat facing the sea, enjoying the sunset and chatting.

“You’re on my ship, eating our food and using our things, and even stealing our knowledge. Of course we have to kick you out.”

Upon hearing Shanks' words, Yu suddenly smacked her on the head. "Idiot, how dare you say that? I'm the one who cooks for you guys, there's no such thing as stealing recipes, that's my reward, you asked me to cook for you!" She was furious and punched Shanks on the head again.

"You're just a kid, where do you get such strength!" Shanks clutched the spot where Yu had hit him. He was faking the pain, but Yu's method of hitting him was still quite skillful.

"Of course, my grandpa taught me. How about that? Isn't it amazing!" Yu learned the Iron Fist of Love from Grandpa Garp after watching him use it a few times, though Garp did give her some pointers.

"Hey, if that's the case, why doesn't he come looking for you? Did he dump you?"

"Shanks, say that again and see what happens!"

"Pfft~ Nobody wants You anymore." After saying that, she ran away.

"Shanks! You big idiot!" Yuu chased Shanks around the ship in a huff. The entire ship was laughing so hard they were doubled over.

After running for a while, Yu looked at Shanks like he was a complete idiot and left him to run on the side by himself. He then went back to lie down on the edge of the ship.

"Why did you stop running?"

"I don't want to run anymore. Are we all as childish as you? Who's the child here?"

Yu is right, Shanks can be even more childish than her when he's being childish. I really don't understand.

But Yu didn't want to talk to him at all. Shanks' words hit a nerve. Why didn't her grandfather come to find her? She had been gone for almost two months, and there was still no word from him.

"Does Yu want to go back?"

As intelligent and perceptive as Beckman was, he noticed Yu's disappointment and came over to comfort her.

"Is that even a question? Of course, he's still just a kid, hahaha."

"No, I haven't had enough fun yet!" Yu was already in a bad mood and was just trying to calm Beckman down when Shanks couldn't stop him from talking. "I was just wondering why Grandpa didn't come to find me."

The following words were said to Beckman.

Yu's impression of Beckman has always been that he is strong, calm, intelligent, and gentle. She even thought that she must find someone as strong and gentle as Beckman in the future. But that person will definitely not be Beckman. First of all, her subconscious tells her that the person she is looking for has not yet appeared. Also, Beckman is a playboy.

"Do you need us to take you back?"

"Is it okay?" Yu was happy for a moment, but quickly realized something was wrong. "No, you're pirates. Going to the Marine base is like walking into a trap. No way!"

"Don't worry, the navy can't do anything to us. We can escape. Besides, you're here. Just tell your grandfather for us, and we can get away, right?"

"No, Grandpa will never let you go. Besides, you don't know who my grandpa is. You have no chance of escaping from him."

Yu was genuinely worried about them. However, Shanks and Beckman knew who Yu's grandfather was: Marine Admiral Sengoku the Buddha.

Sengoku, realizing Yu was missing, immediately sent people to search for her. However, this was done secretly. Making a big fuss would only put Yu in danger, and if they arrested her, there was no guarantee she wouldn't get hurt.

So he sent out classified documents, instructing the navy in various locations to search for them secretly. Actually, it would have been better if he hadn't done that; the secret documents made many pirates think something important had happened, and every pirate crew with decent intelligence capabilities successfully intercepted them, realizing that a pink-haired little girl was very important to Admiral Sengoku.

Shanks and his crew were one of them, which is why they asked if she wanted them to take her back.

"I'll figure out how to get back myself. Don't worry about me. I'm leaving now, see you tomorrow."

Unbeknownst to Yu, several pairs of eyes were watching her as she left Shanks' ship and returned to town.

Shanks naturally discovered it; he suspected it was someone else who had also intercepted the classified documents, but that could also be ruled out. Just in case, he still sent someone to keep an eye on Yu tonight.

Although Yu comes to Shanks' ship every morning, she never lets anyone know where she lives. Not even Shanks knows. The people Shanks sends are easily shaken off by Yu.

Since Yu could get rid of his own people, then those people would have no chance of finding Yu either.

There is always a gap in every hundred secrets.

If you can't find a place to stay, you can simply wait and see.

The next morning, Shanks and his crew didn't see Yu arrive. Instead, they heard whispers from the residents: a pink-haired child had been kidnapped by a group of people, and by the time the Marines arrived, the group was long gone.

The pink hair was unmistakably Yu's. Beckman figured the group would likely leave the island immediately, so he didn't bother searching the town. Instead, he set sail and headed along the coast to find a ship that was about to depart.

Sure enough, a ship was sailing away from the island. Shanks gave chase, but fearing he might harm Yu on board, he refrained from firing his cannons and instead steered the ship at top speed to pursue it.

But as soon as they sailed off the island, their companions came to their aid, and Shanks was stopped. The ship carrying Yu was getting further and further away from them.

"Tell me, where did you take her?"

Shanks and his crew didn't take a few pirates seriously. They left a few behind to find out where Yu had been taken.

“She has nothing to do with you, and you don’t need to risk your lives for her.”

"If you don't speak up, there's no point in you living. Someone will eventually speak up."

To find out what you want, intimidation is sometimes necessary. Sure enough, having learned from one person's experience, the rest obediently confessed. In the end, it was still death.

"Let's go, let's set off."

Yu's hands and feet were bound and she was placed inside a wooden box. She couldn't see what was outside, but she felt it was swaying and rocking, and she must be at sea.

Where are these people taking her? What should she do? Nobody in town knows her; they're unlikely to come to her rescue. What should she do? What should she do?

Wait, there's Shanks too. He'll come looking for her if he realizes she's not there. We can trust Shanks; although he might seem unreliable at times, he definitely won't let her down when it counts.

Inside the wooden crate, Yu sensed that the ship had reached the shore. She was led off the ship; the journey was quiet, and neither did the people who had captured her, nor did she dare to utter a sound.

"Lock her up first."

It was a woman's voice, and she sounded quite young. But You didn't know what she looked like.

Yu thought that at least if she was locked up, she could see her surroundings. But here, being locked up meant she was only slightly larger than a wooden box, and it was still pitch black all around.

She was still bound, her limbs were restrained, making it extremely difficult for her to move.

Sha—sha—sha—

Da-da-da-da

There were sounds of metal clashing, footsteps, and dripping water. The surrounding darkness amplified Yu's auditory senses.

This is an inner, mental torment. And You is just a child under six years old.

ta-ta-ta--

The sound was getting closer; someone was coming.

The candlelight flickered, providing a sliver of light for You's vision. Even though it had only been a short time, every second felt like torture in this environment.
