Chapter 33 The Prince's Proposal (3)
Chapter 33 The Prince's Proposal (3)
"Who are you!"
She won't accept your proposal!
"She's not the one I'm proposing to!"
Yu blinked as she looked at the roses Loki was holding in his hands; then she blinked again as she looked back at the broken door and behind it, at Katakuri holding the Earth Dragon.
It seems like I'm the only one on a different level. Hmm, that's a little awkward.
"Katakuri-san, Yu, what are you doing?"
While Yu was awkwardly unsure what to do, Lola's voice came from another ship. Yu was so embarrassed he just wanted to pick his toes and dig a hole to escape.
"She's the one I want to propose to!" Loki heard the voice and saw Lola. He excitedly left behind the embarrassed Yu and the angry Katakuri and went off to pursue his love.
After Loki left, Paula wanted to follow, but Yu stopped her. "Stop. He's gone, you stay and answer my question. Otherwise," Yu pointed to Katakuri behind him, looking all domineering and unreasonable, "see the aura of that guy behind you? His fate will be even worse than that of the gate."
Paula blinked, then burst into unrestrained laughter.
Huh? Scared stiff? Katakuri's got some nerve, really something, even the giants don't dare to make a move.
"Who poked me!"
"Lord Yu, Lord Katakuri left a long time ago."
"...?" Yu turned around and saw only the broken door and Katakuri's figure. "When did he leave?"
"Just now, when Lady Lola was speaking," the chess soldier dared not conceal, "she told us to fix the door before she left."
"Okay. You guys go fix the door, I'll take care of this." You was utterly speechless. The embarrassing thing was, why did you run away? Couldn't you have just stood there and given me some support? Couldn't you have at least lent me some face?
"The person behind you isn't here, but you still have to answer my questions." You have to project an imposing presence!
Why should I listen to you?
"Just because... his marriage proposal is to his sister, he has some guardianship rights, but he listens to me to a certain extent!" The words may be crude, but the reasoning is sound, and there's nothing wrong with the logic.
"Hmph, go ahead and ask!"
"That person," Yu glanced at Loki, "who is he? You were the ones who followed us yesterday, weren't you? What are you trying to do? It can't just be a simple marriage proposal, can it?"
“That’s our giant prince, you should address him as His Highness Loki. Yesterday, His Highness was captivated by that woman’s marriage proposal, fell in love at first sight, and came to propose this morning. Who knew that the pink-haired woman who came out would be you? Our prince doesn’t even look at you.” After explaining, Pora thought something was off, “Yesterday, we saw that woman board this ship with our own eyes, how come she’s on that ship today?”
"That's it? You didn't come here for revenge?"
"Of course not. You haven't answered me yet."
Lola boarded the ship, of course, because Yu had bought ingredients in town and wanted to ask Lola for advice on making new desserts. But Yu would never tell Pola this; there was no need for her to know.
"I asked you a question and you answered it. Who gave you the right to ask?" Now that the whole story is clear, I realized I misunderstood. Katakuri has no reason to be angry. Does he think that his brother needs his permission to marry his sister?
“You, come here.” Yu pointed to the chess piece that Katakuri was using to deliver the message. “What did you say to Katakuri this morning? Why is he so angry?”
"I said, someone wants to propose to you, Lord Yu. That's when Lord Katakuri got angry."
Oh, you're jealous.
Wow! Katakuri is jealous! He thinks someone else is going to beat me to it, and he's panicking! He's panicking!
Should I strike while the iron is hot? His behavior just now clearly showed he was too concerned and anxious about me, hence his unusual reaction. He must be embarrassed, that's why he ran away. I should go tease him and ask him what happened.
No, no, he knows the whole story I know, he guessed I'd come to him, and he's probably waiting in his room for me to fall into his trap. I'm not going, I'm not going. I want him to tell me himself!
This time, Yu had Katakuri figured out. Just as Yu had expected, he was waiting in his room for Yu to come to him, having already devised a thousand countermeasures in his mind.
However, Yu Cai was one step off the mark and didn't fall for the trap.
the other side.
"No, I refuse!"
"Why! I am the prince of the giants, I can give you anything you want!" Loki was deeply hurt by the rejection.
"But what I want is the freedom to pursue love, and I don't like you."
The rose in his hand, like its owner Loki, was overcome with a mixture of agitation and sorrow. The rose, having lost the support of its stem, drooped listlessly.
"Don't be discouraged. I've been rejected 2353 times so far, but I'm not bothered at all," Lola said proudly, patting her chest.
"Then at least I can know your name? I am Loki, the Giant."
"Charlotte Laura, that's my name."
Lola looked at the burly man's sorrowful expression and couldn't bear it any longer. She had already comforted him; there was no need to stay any longer. She turned and left Loki with a cold, indifferent back.
“Your Highness, the person has already left. Shouldn’t we go back too?” Pora said.
"Look how cool and cold Lola's back is, but I still want to propose to her!"
"But Your Highness, she has already rejected you."
"So what? I can just propose a few more times! Go and look up Charlotte for me."
"Yes, Your Highness."
Inside the cabin, Lola was engrossed in creating her chocolate fountain, while Chiffon kept glancing at the two people outside. She only breathed a sigh of relief when they left. "Sister, they're gone."
"Sister Chiffon, don't worry, they won't do anything to us."
“They are giants, and you’ve forgotten that your mother has a long-standing feud with giants. I was just afraid that he might lose his temper and attack you.”
"Don't worry! If he really makes a move, I, Lola, won't let him get away with it!"
Lola didn't dwell on what had just happened, but Chiffon was different. Loki saw that he wasn't going to give up; if his mother found out he had proposed to Lola, given her desire to win over the giants, she wouldn't refuse on Lola's behalf.
"What if Mom finds out? She'll definitely think this is a great opportunity to befriend the giants," Qi Feng said, expressing her concern.
"Don't worry, Mom won't. She won't let us be with people we don't like."
Outside the door, Yu heard Lola's words. The question, "You have no power or influence, what can you bring to the family?" came to mind again. Loki was different; he was the prince of the giants. According to Chiffon, Big Mom and the giants were having a very bad time. If he knew about Lola's situation, the marriage seemed inevitable.
“I think what Chiffon said makes sense, Lola. You should still be careful and make plans as soon as possible,” Yu said earnestly as she opened the door.
"Even You is like this." Lola was making her favorite chocolate fountain and really didn't want to think about these annoying things. "I know, I know. The chocolate fountain is almost done. Come on, take some of your favorite chocolate and pour it on."
The sweetness of chocolate is the best way to forget your troubles.
The three of them were immersed in the sweetness of the chocolate and forgot their troubles.
The minor incident is not worth dwelling on, but perhaps it's wise to prepare in advance.
(Second update is here!)
(I wonder if everyone remembers Loki. Lola met Nami after escaping Whole Cake Island, mainly because Loki proposed to her. This matter could be big or small, but it helped to confirm Katakuri and Yu's relationship. Currently, they both care about each other, but neither has explicitly stated it. Don't say I'm being slow; Katakuri has his considerations, and Yu is still waiting, but it's hard to say whether he'll wait for Katakuri to make his move.)
That's all!
