Chapter 2 First Encounter (Part 2)

As the ship drew closer, You propped himself up and leaped onto the deck just as it passed by.

"Intrusion detected! Help!"

She was discovered as soon as she boarded the ship, and a group of chess pieces surged onto the deck, pointing their spears at Yu. Yu wasn't afraid; she meant no harm, she just wanted a ride.

So one person faced a group of chess pieces, and none of them moved.

Then, a man dressed in punk style walked into the cabin; he seemed to be the captain. All the soldiers made way for him.

This man was about five meters tall, and You only reached his chest, but the pressure he exerted was far greater than that Jack exerted on You, even though Jack was much larger!

The man didn't speak, his handsome eyes looking down at You.

"I'm sorry to have boarded your ship. I meant no harm. If it's convenient, you can drop me off on a nearby island." Yu was very tired, and her voice was soft and gentle.

"Lord Katakuri, what should we do with her?" a soldier asked when the man remained silent.

"She's not allowed to leave the deck." He glanced at You at the end of his sentence, then turned and left.

"You're really lucky to have met Lord Katakuri!"

"Did you hear me? You can stay on the deck, but don't wander around or look around."

"Lord Katakuri is so kind!"

The chess pieces chattered amongst themselves, one after another, but Yu didn't hear much of it; at least he was safe now. Heaven knows how panicked he was when Katakuri appeared. He'd seen his bounty poster in the Navy before—Charlotte Katakuri, the second son of Big Mom of the Big Mom Pirates and one of the Three Sweet Commanders. It was said that this man had never been defeated.

However, to You's surprise, this man was exceptionally gentle. He actually let her stay on the ship, which seemed different from what she had imagined.

Katakuri at this moment was not the gentle man Yu had imagined. The Big Mom Pirates were always the most well-informed. Nearly three hours had passed since Yu and Jack's confrontation, and Whole Cake Island already knew what was happening in the North Blue, as well as the conversation between Kaido and the girl.

Since Kaido is so fond of this girl's abilities, she must be extraordinary. How could the Big Mom Pirates sit idly by and wait to die? So they sent Katakuri, who was in the North Blue, to investigate. If they could find this girl, they had to get her to join the Big Mom Pirates, otherwise, they would only face death.

Katakuri had overheard Kaido's conversation with the girl and vaguely remembered her voice. The one before him matched perfectly. Drifting in the North Blue, and able to speak calmly despite Kaido's oppressive aura, she was clearly no ordinary person. However, the voice was slightly different from the one he'd heard when talking to Kaido, which puzzled Katakuri.

But in any case, this girl is most likely the one her mother is looking for, and she absolutely cannot be let go!
