Chapter 414: Probably a good person
Chapter 414: Probably a good person
"Hey, Lucci, you're all awake." As soon as Thatch came in, he saw the three brothers laughing. They came at the right time. Thatch grinned and said, "Do you want food?"
"Oh, thank you, Thatch!" Ace grinned and took the food cart from Thatch, which contained the food they urgently needed.
"Stop it, Lucci." Marco lazily leaned against the door, squinting his eyes as he watched Lucci prepare to tear out the IV tube from his arm. "Just because you woke up doesn't mean your injury has healed."
"I think I'm good enough." Lucci protested, but still stopped what he was doing, definitely not because he couldn't beat Marco right now.
"Don't make me do anything to you." Marco ignored him and just looked at Lucci with a stern look.
"It's best not to piss off the mother bird. He hasn't slept properly in days and is in grumpy bird mode." Thatch winked quietly at Lucci and Ace, completely unaware that Marco was approaching him with a gloomy expression.
Lucci, Ace, and Sabo looked at each other, smirking on their faces. The three of them picked up the food in tacit understanding, ignoring Thatch's look for help.
"Ow!"
"You are really too much. You are so cruel to your brother who brought you food." Sachi dramatically covered his chest and accused the three brothers who were eating.
"I'm sorry, Thatch, but we can't handle an angry turkey." Ace glanced at Marco who was still leaning against the wall and whispered.
"Ace, you should be glad that you are injured now." Marco said with narrowed eyes.
Lucci chuckled softly, suddenly feeling a sense of relief. He was with his family, whether new or old, and for Lucci, everything became better than ever. Although there was still some worry in his heart that made him feel unreal, he suppressed it.
"By the way, we haven't been formally introduced yet." Sabo stood up and smiled proudly. "Hello, I'm Sabo! Nice to meet you!" He bowed slightly to Marco. "Thank you for taking care of my two idiot brothers. I know how hard it is to take care of them."
"Hey! Sabo, why do you say that!" Lucci glared at Sabo dissatisfiedly.
"Yeah, don't talk like you're older than us." Ace also glared at Sabo in dissatisfaction.
"We know you've been heard of on Den Den Mushi." Thatch grinned.
"Den Den Mushi?" Lucci and Ace looked at Thatch in confusion.
"You might not know this, but it was the Revolutionary Army leader, Long, who first offered us a helping hand. He approached us first, and we've formed a temporary alliance, making plans together," Marco explained. "Sabo was the one who infiltrated Impel Down to rescue you. Now, his fellow Revolutionary Army members have temporarily joined us, and we're treating him with respect."
"The leader of the Revolutionary Army? Lucci, you left me for a while just to go find him?" Ace said with wide eyes. "Damn it, Lucci, you told me that a long time ago!"
"What's wrong?" Thatch looked at Ace in confusion as he was behaving strangely.
"Monkey D. Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, is Lucci and Luffy's father," Sabo explained.
"So this is the real reason why Long took action?" Marco raised his eyebrows.
"Uh..." Ace sighed and scratched the back of his head "This should be a secret, but if you can keep my biological father's secret for me, I believe you can do it for Luffy, right, Marco?"
"This shouldn't be a secret anymore. Many people know about it." Lucci sighed and cast his gaze towards the still unconscious Luffy. His eyes lingered on his heaving chest for a few seconds before he turned to look at Thatch and Marco and chuckled, "But Luffy and the others probably don't know about this yet, so you still need to keep it a secret."
"Okay, whatever you want." There was no smile on Marco's face. He had already kept enough secrets.
"Lucci, you have completely recovered your memory." Ace suddenly turned his head and looked at Lucci and said.
"I've made it very obvious." Lucci complained.
"Huh? Lucci, have you recovered your memory? When?" Sachi asked in shock.
"Do you feel unwell somewhere?" Marco asked, moving closer to check Lucci's expression.
"No, when I woke up in Impel Down, all my memories came flooding back to me." Lucci looked at the familiar red beaded necklace around Ace's neck and teased with a smile, "Ace, did you steal that necklace from Dadan, or did you go find it yourself because you missed her so much?"
"Shut up, Lucci!" Ace's cheeks turned red instantly. He rushed forward and put his arms around Lucci's neck to shut him up.
Sabo noticed that Ace's face was almost as red as the beaded necklace hanging around his neck and couldn't help but laugh.
"Stop laughing, Sabo!" Ace turned to look at Sabo and shouted with a red face.
Marco tried to hold back the smile on his face, but his eyes gave away the fact that he was actually laughing. Thatch had no control at all and laughed at Ace's shy look along with Sabo.
"Don't be shy, Ace." Lucci smiled and broke free from Ace's arms.
Ace grinned and pulled Lucci's head back in, pinching him hard "Don't you dare say that again."
"Hey! Stop it!" Lucci pushed Ace aside with a smile.
Ace snorted and let Lucci go, then looked at Sabo and said, "Honestly, Sabo, of all people, you chose the Revolutionary Army."
"It's normal to choose the Revolutionary Army, but more importantly, I really like this job." Sabo said with a smile.
"Although I still don't like him, he does deserve thanks for saving you," Ace said with a frown.
"None of this matters now. Anyway, Dragon asked me to save you this time, and that's the most important thing." Sabo was really grateful to Dragon for letting him leave Baldigo. However, his abandonment of Luffy and Lucci was another matter. Sabo turned to Lucci and asked, "Lucci, what do you think of Dragon?"
Lucci looked at Sabo, frowned, and finally said, "I don't know. I don't have any feelings. We've never met him, but he saved your life and has always taken care of you, so he's probably a good person."
Sabo blinked and finally agreed, "He is indeed a good man."
Without continuing the topic, Sabo suddenly thought of another question and asked curiously, "How did Luffy get into Impel Down?"
"I guess it has something to do with the Pirate Empress." Ace frowned and said, "She came to see me in Impel Down at that time. She was the one who told me that Luffy was coming."
"That brat always does things that make people's hearts stop beating." Lucci frowned and said angrily when he thought of Luffy's behavior at that time, "I will let him know that he will never dare to do it again next time."
"That's right, stupid brother." Ace frowned and scolded.
