Chapter 393 Hold on
Chapter 393 Hold on
No. 16 Mangrove
"You're late."
"I'm sorry." Sabo looked up at Karasu and explained calmly, "We met someone, but don't worry."
"Well, we have to start as soon as possible. We have wasted a lot of time." Karasu said calmly with his arms crossed.
Qi followed Sabo and the others onto the warship that was successfully captured by the revolutionary army. Some of the revolutionary soldiers on board were already wearing naval uniforms.
Sabo's eyes darted around, checking every corner. He knew Karasu had checked everything, but he still wanted to check again in case there was a possibility of a trap.
"When are we leaving?" Qi asked.
"The warship will arrive in an hour." Karasu explained.
"One hour? Too short." Kerla frowned. They couldn't reach Impel Down within an hour.
"You will have access to the Gate of Justice. We have the code ready," Karasu explained. "Del will impersonate the admiral in charge of this ship. Impel already knows this ship is coming, and half of my men will go with you."
"Chief of Staff, this is your disguise."
Karasu's men handed over two sets of navy uniforms, and Qi reached out to take them.
"Sabo, be careful." Huck crossed his arms and looked at Sabo, admonishing him.
"I've always been careful." Sabo smiled.
Kerla came out of the cabin in a navy uniform and said to Sabo expressionlessly, "Do you want me to remind you of those times when you disobeyed orders?"
"I have a plan for that," Sabo said with a smile.
"Every time you mess around, it's Hake and I who get scolded!" Kerla angrily grabbed Sabo's face and said, "You absolutely must not mess around in Advance City this time! Do you hear me?"
"I heard it, I heard it." Sabo touched his red cheek and decided not to provoke Kelra anymore. "Let's go!"
"Yes, Chief of Staff."
……
"Passage is permitted. The gate will open immediately. Please follow the instructions."
Hearing the words coming from the other side of the Den Den Mushi, Sabo and Qi breathed a sigh of relief at the same time. This was a crucial step.
Sabo glanced at his subordinates; they looked more relaxed than ever. He understood that this was one of the biggest risks of their mission. Thankfully, the code they used, while ancient, still worked. He had felt more than once that Long had some connection to the Navy; otherwise, he wouldn't be so familiar with the Navy's system.
Looking at the slowly opening Gate of Justice, Sabo breathed a sigh of relief. For them, this was the first time they saw the Gate of Justice. It was much larger than Sabo had imagined. There was a World Government logo in the middle. Once they crossed the gate, they would basically be dead. The World Government would never show mercy to captured revolutionaries.
"The last time I saw this door was a few days ago." Qi said as he looked at the opened door of justice, "I didn't expect to see it again so soon."
"You did something crazy," Sabo said with a smile, thinking of the newspaper reports on Judicial Island.
"Just to bring back our companions." Qi said with a smile. Looking at the Gate of Justice that was easily passed through, Qi asked, "How long will it take us to get there?"
"If everything goes well, about thirty minutes," Del replied.
……
Luffy stared out the window as a huge Gate of Justice opened in front of them. Warships surrounded their ship. The last time they saw so many warships was during the Demon Slayer Order on Judicial Island, but there were more warships here than last time. Were Ace and Lucci imprisoned here?
Luffy took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He would definitely succeed. Last time he successfully rescued Robin and Lucci, and this time he would also rescue Ace and Lucci.
As their ship drew closer to the dock, Hancock came up behind him and whispered for him to climb into her coat, Luffy took a breath, calming his breathing before quickly climbing in, controlling his breathing.
Hancock led him out of the room and up a staircase. Luffy absentmindedly noticed the shocked gasps and hisses coming from all around him, but he didn't pay much attention to them. He was more focused on what he was doing. He would remain quiet until Hancock let him out, and he wouldn't move at this time.
Luffy tried his best to accept the information conveyed by Hancock. Although the concept of floors confused him, he still tried hard to listen to the information conveyed by the people around him. The people who greeted Hancock said that they needed to keep going down. Does this mean that Ace and Lucci are at the bottom, and he needs to keep going down.
"Luffy, you can come out now."
Luffy immediately slid down, happy to be free of his restraints. He glanced at the guard, who was motionless, a seastone in her hand. Luffy breathed a sigh of relief. "I was trying my luck, seeing if I could get away fast enough without being seen."
"Luffy, it seems I can only send you here. You can't use your abilities from now on, and your cloak will be taken away. I can't protect you anymore." Hancock looked at Luffy apologetically. "Although I really want to help you more..."
"What are you talking about? If I were alone, there would be no way I could get here!" Luffy said with a smile. Compared to him breaking in alone, Hancock helped him a lot. "Thank you, that's enough!"
"Luffy, this is an inescapable fortress. You must not cause a disturbance! Once you're caught, you'll never get out again." Hancock pleaded with concern. "You're strong... but don't mess around. There are surveillance Den Den Mushi everywhere. Some of them are definitely carrying seastone handcuffs or weapons. You must try your best to avoid contact with the guards. You must promise me this!"
"I know. I promise you, Hancock!" Luffy said with a smile, holding her hand with gratitude on his face. "Thank you, Hancock. I will never forget your kindness!"
Luffy didn't notice Hancock, who was lost in her own fantasy, after he finished speaking. He quickly jumped onto the wood on the roof and hid deep in the shadows, waiting for Hancock to release the guards from petrification. However, he waited for a long time and Hancock didn't respond. He couldn't help but stick his head out and whispered a reminder, "Hey, Hancock, it's okay now. You can release the petrification!"
Luffy watched silently as the guard, freed from petrification, handcuffed Hancock's wrists. He waited a few minutes until Hancock and the guard left. He took the opportunity to jump from the ledge of the house to the ledge outside. After thanking Hancock, Luffy quietly watched the elevator go down. Were Ace and Lucci down there? He had to find the stairs.
After Hancock left in the elevator, Luffy took off his straw hat and carefully took out Ace and Lucci's life papers. Both burning life papers were pointing downwards.
Hang in there, I'm coming right up!
