Chapter 112 Intervention by the Observer
Chapter 112 Intervention by the Observer
The light on the terrace grew brighter and brighter. The ether particles completed their final solidification process within the Holy Lord's body, eventually condensing into a sharply defined gem deep within his soul—the Reality Gem.
The Reality Stone floated quietly beside the Mind Stone, the light of the two stones intertwining, the dark red and orange-yellow light shining quietly like two hearts.
The Holy Lord opened his eyes, his golden vertical pupils gleaming faintly in the night. He raised his hand, and the Reality Stone appeared in his palm. The moment the Reality Stone appeared, the space on the terrace rippled violently.
The reality of this space is being rewritten.
The Holy Lord looked at the gem with great satisfaction. He could feel the power, the power that could directly modify the laws of reality. With just a thought, reality would be rearranged according to his will.
The Holy Lord looked at the gem and said in a low voice, "The Reality Gem truly lives up to its name."
Wanda stood behind Shendu. The Chaos Magic fluctuated violently the moment the Reality Stone appeared. The two forces resonated with each other, both trying to change reality, just in different ways.
Inside a secret room in the Golden Palace.
This secret chamber was originally Odin's meditation place. The walls are covered with ancient runes that can block all outside prying eyes. The Holy Lord chose this place precisely because of these runes. Although they cannot stop observers, with the snake charm empowered by the Mind Stone, no one can find out what he is doing.
The Holy Lord sat cross-legged in the secret chamber, the Reality Stone emerging from his body and hovering in front of him.
Eight talismans representing the rat, monkey, snake, dragon, rabbit, horse, rooster, and pig emerged from his body, floated in the air, and formed a circle around the Holy Lord.
"Eight talismans," the Holy Lord murmured. "If all of them were empowered by the Reality Stone, my power would be enough to rewrite the laws of the entire Nine Realms."
The Holy Lord closed his eyes, and the Reality Stone began to emit a dark red light, which grew increasingly intense, enveloping the entire secret chamber.
The Holy Lord imbued his will into the Reality Gem, and the gem began to hum in response. The power to rewrite reality began to spread outward, first touching the nearest Dragon Talisman.
The dragon talisman began to tremble, and dark red light began to penetrate into its interior. The patterns on the talisman began to change, gradually becoming three-dimensional from their original flatness, and vivid from stillness, as if a dragon was really about to burst out of the talisman.
The Holy Lord sensed the changes in the dragon talisman and a smile appeared on his lips. Very good, everything was as he had expected.
The surrounding space changed, not because of the Reality Stone's alteration, but because a sudden external force disrupted everything.
The power of the Reality Stone suddenly became unstable, flickering erratically. The dark red light on the Dragon Talisman began to fade, and the power of the Reality Stone within the gem began to dissipate. The power of the Reality Stone on the Dragon Talisman was forcefully bounced back.
The Holy Lord suddenly opened his eyes, a cold glint flashing in his golden vertical pupils: "It's you again!"
In the corner of the secret chamber, space began to distort, and a transparent outline gradually became clear. The Observer was standing there. Perhaps due to the power of the Reality Stone, the Observer's figure was fully revealed. He wore a silver-gray robe, and the empty eyes on his huge head were staring intently at the Holy Lord.
"Divine Capital." The Observer's voice echoed in the secret chamber, devoid of any emotion: "You shouldn't have done this."
Shendu rose from the ground, the Reality Stone spinning in his hand: "Shouldn't it? Or are you forbidding it?"
The observer did not answer; he simply stared at the Reality Stone in the Lord's hand, his empty eyes flickering with hesitation.
“Last time,” the Observer said slowly, “I intervened when you absorbed the Mind Stone. I thought that would make you back down, but it seems I was wrong.”
"Give up when faced with difficulties?" The Holy Lord's lips curled up slightly as he sneered, "Observer, you should know better than anyone else in this world that I am not the kind of person who gives up when faced with difficulties."
The observer frowned slightly, his tone carrying a rare loyalty: "God, listen to my advice. The Reality Stone is not the Mind Stone. Its power is more primal and more dangerous. If you use it to enhance your existing power, the consequences will be unimaginable."
"Consequences?" The Holy Lord sneered, "The consequences you speak of are nothing but your own fear. What you fear is not that I will empower you with the Reality Stone, but that I will have enough power to break the rules set by you Observers."
The observer's expression changed again, and his voice lowered: "Rules do not exist to bind anyone; rules exist to maintain the balance of the multiverse. God, your very existence is a variable. If you further enhance your power with the Reality Stone, this variable will become a disaster."
"A disaster?" The Holy Lord looked at the gem in his hand, its dark red light shimmering calmly. "Observer, you are right. This is indeed a disaster, but it is aimed at those who do not submit to me."
The observer fell silent. The air in the secret room grew heavy as two forces collided silently within the room, and the runes on the walls began to crumble erratically.
Finally, the observer sighed, his voice weary: "I can't stop you because of the rules. It's your choice, and I have no right to interfere, but..."
The observer paused, his voice turning cold: "I can limit the output power of the Reality Stone to some extent. You can use it to enhance talismans, but not all of them, a maximum of three. That's the limit I can tolerate."
The Holy Lord narrowed his eyes: "You think you can restrain me like this?"
The observer shook his head: "It's not a restriction, it's a compromise. I'm giving you a chance to use the Reality Stone to bless three runes. In exchange, you must give up blessing the remaining runes. This is the biggest concession I can make. If you refuse, I will use all the authority I have to stop you."
The Holy Lord stared at the observer, his eyes devoid of any emotion. He was now weighing this deal, a deal that had turned a complete victory into a partial one.
He knew the power of the Observer; it was a power that transcended dimensions and reality. With his current strength, he was not yet capable of directly confronting the full-scale interference of an Observer.
With three talismans, plus the three previously blessed by the Mind Gem, there are a total of six talismans. This attack is a power powerful enough to shake the Nine Realms.
"Deal," the Holy Lord said calmly.
The observer seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, his figure still becoming transparent: "A wise choice, God Capital. I hope this is the last time I interfere in your affairs."
"I hope so too," the Holy Lord replied coldly.
