Chapter 49 One Against Many
Chapter 49 One Against Many
Marcus froze, staring at Chu Yang with an incredulous expression. "You're just a first-year student, where did you learn this spell?"
"It's all written in the books, isn't it?" Chu Yang sneered. "Besides the disarming spell, I also know the petrification spell you just mentioned."
Marcus realized something was terribly wrong and immediately shouted, "Stop him!"
Harper immediately took out his wand to cast a spell on Chu Yang, but just as he pulled the wand out of his pocket, a flash of light accurately struck the wand in his hand!
Another wand flew out!
"How can your casting speed be so fast? Even fifth-graders don't have this casting speed!" Harper shouted in a panic, quickly attracting the attention of the older students around him.
Some of them were observing.
Some people chose to help Harper and Marcus immediately.
If word gets out that the two of them were disarmed by the first-year students, the upperclassmen will be utterly disgraced!
He was still disarmed by a non-pure-blooded wizard!
The older students, who had been watching the show, pulled out their wands one after another, all preparing to cast disarm spells to attack Chu Yang.
However, something chilling happened... No matter who was present, as long as they intended to make a move, Chu Yang's disarming spell would descend within a second, accurately hitting the wand in their hand without exception.
At this moment, Chu Yang seemed to be able to foresee the future!
In just twenty seconds, a bunch of wands had gathered on the floor of the common room!
"That first-year student actually cast the Disarming Charm more than ten times in such a short period of time. Even an adult wizard couldn't possibly have such immense magical power!"
"He can cast spells even faster than wizards who have passed the OWL exams!"
Exclamations erupted from the crowd. They had expected to see the non-pure-blooded wizard make a fool of himself, but instead witnessed a scene that shattered their understanding.
Marcus and Harper, who started this trouble, are now kicking themselves!
"As I said, besides the disarming spell, I also know the petrification spell." Chu Yang revealed a devilish smile. He didn't intend to let these people go so easily; this was not the outcome he wanted.
Chu Yang is a person who hates trouble. He finds enemies who are like cockroaches that can survive for a long time, so it's best to hurt them badly to solve the problem once and for all.
Upon hearing the term "petrification curse," the senior students who had just been about to attack Chu Yang all panicked!
"Run!"
Marcus yelled and then turned and ran toward the exit of the lounge.
Seeing this, the others immediately followed suit. In their panic, they knocked over many decorations, turning the once elegant hall into a chicken coop.
However, no matter how fast they ran, they couldn't outrun the magic wand in Chu Yang's hand.
After several flashes of light, the upperclassmen, led by Marcus, froze in place, unable to move, only able to blink slightly.
"Aren't you seniors going to class yet?" Chu Yang said indifferently to the upperclassmen who were watching, giving a warning. "If you're late, our college will lose points again."
The cold words, like winter frost, fell into their hearts. The "seniors" dared not linger any longer and rushed toward the exit.
This newcomer, who is as strong as a monster, is clearly not someone they can handle. Why don't they run away now and stay here to become statues?
A moment later, only a group of boys, standing like statues, remained in the Slytherin common room.
"I just want to study magic in peace, why is it so difficult?" Chu Yang sighed, shaking his head helplessly. "No matter how you look at it, it's all that old man Dumbledore's fault..."
For the sake of the hidden knowledge in the library's restricted section, no matter what arrangements Dumbledore made for him, Chu Yang could only grit his teeth and accept it!
Chu Yang grumbled as he stepped on their fallen wands and walked out.

Upon hearing the sound, Marcus and the others immediately showed expressions of heartache; Chu Yang's departing figure had left a deep enough shadow on them at that moment.
Another Slytherin student is absent from breakfast in the Great Hall.
This time, however, they were no longer freshmen but upperclassmen.
Snape had a vague feeling that something was wrong, but he didn't think much of it and went back to the Potions classroom as usual to prepare for teaching.
However, what happened next confirmed his premonition.
Another student was absent from class, and it was a Slytherin student no less. After class, Snape left the classroom with a gloomy face!
The morning classes had just ended when Chu Yang was summoned to the headmaster's office by Dumbledore.
Snape, looking rather grim, had been waiting inside for quite some time.
The moment the two met in the principal's office, the air immediately crackled with tension.
"Mr. Chu Yang, can you tell me whether you're retaliating against those students or against me?"
This is only the third day of school, and Slytherin is already experiencing another mass student absenteeism!
The culprit was still Chu Yang!
Snape's face turned ashen, he trembled with rage, and his voice was as cold as if it had been thawed from an ice cellar: "I have never seen anything like this since I became Head of Slytherin House."
Chu Yang gazed at Snape's slightly reddened pupils and said sincerely, "I'm sorry, Professor Snape. I also want to live each day in peace, but the circumstances don't allow it. Perhaps you should talk to Headmaster Dumbledore and make it more realistic for me to transfer to another house."
Snape snorted coldly. He knew very well that Chu Yang was specially arranged by Dumbledore to enter Slytherin, and he also understood Dumbledore's intentions to some extent.
Despite Dumbledore's warnings to Chu Yang, he was actually happy to see Chu Yang teach those overly arrogant Slytherin students a lesson.
Besides, there's no such thing as transferring houses in Hogwarts tradition. Once the Sorting Hat sorts you into a house, that's for life.
"Mr. Chu Yang, transferring to another hospital is impossible; Hogwarts has never had such a precedent."
Dumbledore first corrected Chu Yang's attitude, and then said to Snape, "Although Chu Yang used the petrification charm on those students, we also understand that it was the upperclassmen who attacked first."
"Professor Snape, I think Slytherin needs to strengthen its character education. It's not honorable for a group of upperclassmen to bully a freshman!"
Snape's neck veins were practically bulging with anger. He suddenly remembered what he had said to Chu Yang in Potions class not long ago, but he didn't expect the other party to prove him wrong so quickly.
It was extremely loud!
I bet everyone in every grade of the college heard it!
Dumbledore adjusted his glasses and said in a deep voice, "The Petrification Curse isn't a particularly dangerous spell. Let's leave it at that. If the students have any objections, you can have them come to me. I don't think anyone would dare to."
The key point in the whole incident is that the older students made the first move.
Therefore, no one can criticize Chu Yang's act of self-defense.
Snape could only swallow the fact that he had been humiliated by Chu Yang and hurriedly took his leave.
