Chapter 6 A sumptuous meal

I'm finally back home in Sijiao. I'm exhausted and starving today. I feel like I could eat a whole pig right now.

"Ayers, these are things you asked to prepare yourself. Pack them up yourself. Your old professor is very busy right now, so don't bother me unless it's important." Severus Snape wanted to go back to his potions room. He still had potions to finish, so he took out everything the little troll had asked to buy and threw it on the ground, telling him to pack it up himself.

"Okay." Should I correct Si's tone? Every time I hear him talk like that, I feel like arguing back.

Well, the most important thing now is to cook. I've been hungry for two meals. I didn't even have lunch, and I've been so busy that I can finally have dinner now.

Severus Snape noticed when I used magic, but he didn't stop me. He wouldn't interfere if he didn't detect any magical disturbances. He continued with what he was doing. This little troll seemed to have some secrets of his own, but he didn't intend to ask.

After a flurry of activity in the kitchen, I finally finished cooking a meal. Looking at the food on the table, I thought that Professor Si probably didn't want to eat at the same table as me.

Take out a large bowl, put some soup into each bowl, then take a small bowl and fill it with some soup. Carry the tray and head towards the potions room of the Church.

A gentle knock on the door, and as the footsteps drew closer, I raised the tray high.

Severus Snape took the tray in a daze, glanced at the boy leaving, and couldn't deny that he was a little moved. For so many years, for so many days and nights, he had longed to eat such a hot meal.

Walking towards the potions room of the Sculptor, I saw the empty bowl and chopsticks by the door. Without disturbing him, I picked them up quietly and took them to the kitchen to clean them up.

I made two cups of coffee, one without sugar and one with half sugar. Tonight I plan to read for a few hours, discussing relationships while also improving myself.

Carrying two cups of coffee, I walked toward the potion room.

"Knock knock knock." This time, Severus Snape wasn't sarcastic. I simply picked up my coffee, and handed him the other cup and the tray.

"Professor Snape, don't stay up too late. I'll trouble you to buy some more ingredients tomorrow. I won't bother you any longer. Get some rest. Goodnight~" He took his coffee and headed to his room.

Severus Snape didn't say much this time. He silently took his coffee, closed the door, and took a small sip. What was this, a bittersweet taste?

It was a sleepless night. Even with coffee to keep me awake, I still felt sleepy while trying to read quietly.

Oh right, I haven't named the little black cat I bought yet.

It's like a sudden thought, and you finally remember a kitten that was perched on your neck, so you gently lift it down and put it on your lap to stroke it.

"How about I call you Mingyue?" He's so easy to pet. How can this cat be so well-behaved? He's really good and quiet. He hasn't made a fuss since he came back with me.

The little black cat, named Mingyue, nodded its head gently and then dozed off, resting its head on my lap.

"I don't think I've fed you all night. Are you hungry? How about some cat food?" With a light tap of the wand, a bag of cat food floated lightly into my hand.

It seems I can cast spells without scepters after learning the magic.

I think I bought a lot of cat food, which was a set with the kitten I bought from the shop owner, as well as a cat bed and litter box.

I felt that all these things needed to be carried with me, so I put them all into my portable backpack.

I opened the package and fed Mingyue the pills one by one. While eating, Mingyue licked my fingers.

That warm, soft little tongue is so cute.

I picked him up and suckled him hard.

"Are you full? Let's wash up and go to bed. There's no rush to read." Seeing that Mingyue had stopped eating, I decided to take a shower and go to sleep. It was already very late, and we could continue reading tomorrow morning.

After taking a shower, I put on my pajamas, turned off the lights, lay down on the bed, and fell asleep in no time.

Just then, the hallway lights outside the room came on. Severus Snape had finally finished his work and was about to go back to his room to rest when he glanced lightly at the first room, whose lights were already off.

"Goodnight." Severus Snape said goodnight very, very loudly, in a way that only he could hear, and then he went back to his room to wash up and go to sleep.

When Severus Snape appeared outside the room, his half-gold, half-blue eyes widened, shining brightly in the dark night, yet strangely so.

Upon hearing that Severus Snape had left, Mingyue lowered her head again and went back to sleep in the cat bed.
