"You lot—"
Just as all the adults had run out the door, and Siron was about to follow them to the main hall, Professor McGonagall, who had just gone out, turned back.
"Your mission is complete. Stay here and don't go anywhere else." Her gaze swept over everyone present.
"I don't know why you all came along, but Mystic is different from the other Death Eaters. If any of you dare to step out of this door, I will deduct five hundred points from your record and ban you from Quidditch forever!"
"We might help too!" George shouted. "We're not here to be spectators!"
"Take good care of the wounded; that's your next task." Professor McGonagall didn't give him a chance to object before leaving.
Cedric, who was about to say something, could only helplessly shut his mouth.
Knowing they were in the wrong, Harry, Fred, and George remained silent, but Fred and George were furious, muttering incessantly, "How could she do that!"
"We're here to help too!"
"This isn't fair!"
The two complained, and were about to ask Xilun for his opinion when they turned around and saw that he had already walked to the door and walked out without hesitation.
What House Credits? Isn't that something Dumbledore can add as many of as he wants?
Besides, this isn't the first time they've had 500 points deducted; it's no big deal.
Xilun ran out without looking back.
"Fred, I must admit I made a mistake; I actually started worrying about my GPA just now," George said seriously. "I forgive you, brother." Fred sighed, "Because I'm just like you."
After realizing their mistake, Fred and George did not hesitate any longer and immediately left the Department of Mysteries with Siren.
Harry and his two friends exchanged a glance and quickly followed.
Just a few seconds later, Cedric was all alone.
He actually wanted to help, but he was afraid that Professor McGonagall would really deduct all of Hufflepuff's points. After all, everyone here was a Gryffindor except for him, and once Sheryl left, there would be no point in the others staying.
More importantly, the wounded Order of the Phoenix members and the Death Eaters who were temporarily imprisoned also needed to be watched over.
Cedric suddenly understood Professor Flitwick's feelings—he really should have been more decisive; otherwise, Harry and Hermione would have been left behind.
Meanwhile, Siron, having left the Department of Mysteries, had already crossed the outer corridor.
To avoid repeating the mistake of being cornered by Voldemort at the fireplace, this time he didn't take the elevator directly to the main hall. Instead, he got off at the second floor and ran up the stairs.
When Xilun arrived at the main hall, he found it much more lively than downstairs.
It was lively in the literal sense; someone had somehow leaked everything that was happening in the Ministry of Magic, and the fireplaces were now flickering green lights like faulty bulbs.
And every time it flashes, someone will walk out from inside.
Then, these people regretted it.
Seeing Voldemort so close, fear overwhelmed everyone like a tidal wave, and the professors had already come up behind Dumbledore, all drawing their wands and aiming them at Voldemort.
"That's brilliant, Dumbledore—" Voldemort said viciously, "First he pretended to know nothing, but secretly he had already arranged everything."
Dumbledore opened his mouth as if to say something but hesitated, which only made Voldemort angrier.
"Enough, Dumbledore! I saw through your tricks long ago!"
Voldemort shouted, "You knew my plan all along, didn't you? You knew I had Lukwood and McNeil set a trap in the Department of Mysteries beforehand, so you used it to your advantage and dragged me here."
"But what I didn't expect was that you would be so bold as to be willing to give up Hogwarts for Harry Potter."
Voldemort's blood-red eyes swept over the professors behind Dumbledore.
"I admit, you won this time!"
Dumbledore's expression became even stranger. If you looked closely, you could even see a rare hint of embarrassment flashing in his eyes, and his face was slightly flushed.
Are these his arrangements?
How could that be? He was quite frightened when he learned that Voldemort had sent a group of Death Eaters to ambush the Department of Mysteries.
He wanted to save Harry, but Voldemort threatened to go outside and kill indiscriminately if he dared to leave. Fortunately, Professor McGonagall arrived at that moment.
Although Dumbledore didn't know why Minerva McGonagall had come to the Ministry of Magic at this time, her appearance did indeed solve the biggest problem at hand.
But that wasn't the end of it. Not long after, Hagrid appeared, along with Sprout, Sinestadt, Snape—and even Weasley and Diggory, among other students.
To be honest, Dumbledore still doesn't understand what's going on, or why all the professors from the school have come.
Of course, he couldn't possibly tell Voldemort any of this. Dumbledore blinked, continuing to calmly observe Voldemort, pretending that everything was under control.
"We'll see, Professor!" Voldemort said coldly.
"He's trying to escape!" Professor McGonagall astutely grasped the meaning behind Voldemort's words.
They wanted to stop Voldemort and keep him here forever, but they were too late.
Voldemort raised his wand as he spoke, and as soon as he finished speaking, a giant serpent formed of flames charged toward the crowd who were paralyzed with fear.
Screams and roars instantly echoed through the main hall, throwing people into chaos.
It's Fiendfyre. Voldemort used this move last time in the swamp, and it really works.
Dumbledore and the professors had to turn their wands around. By the time they extinguished the Fiendfire and saved everyone, Voldemort had already escaped with a small number of Death Eaters.
The scene was left in a mess, with people still in shock.
"It really is him! I saw him!" a man with a ponytail and wearing a red robe shouted. "Mr. Fudge, I dare say he must be the mysterious man. Only he could use that level of Fiery Blaze!"
"I know, Williamson, I know—" Fudge said indistinctly.
Of course he knew, because the Fiendish Curse was mostly aimed at him. If Dumbledore hadn't intervened in time, he would have become the second Fawkes by now.
"Fudge is finished!" Fred said gloatingly from the stairwell not far away.
"I should have let Umbridge off the hook," George said. "We should have let her see this too."
"You can't say that," Siren shook his head. "If Umbridge were still in school, do you think we could have gotten out so easily?"
"Yeah, that's true—"
"Alright, let's go back quickly, I don't want to really lose 500 points."
