They chatted about nothing but everyday matters, which the prison guard had no interest in; it was just a disturbance to his rest time.
……
Luo Fan: "Alright, let's not talk about that anymore. By the way, I sent some photos and a bracelet to them. They should arrive in your hands later. It will be a while before you come out. I believe that when you see those old things, you will remember a lot of things from the past. Remember to wear the bracelet. Now I should go. I will wait for you outside."
Before the company could even respond, Luo Fan hung up the phone and left in a hurry.
The man slowly reset the phone, his expression complex, and followed the prison guard back to his cell.
Not long after, a prison guard brought in a file folder containing the photos Luo Fan had mentioned, as well as the bracelet...
The purpose of the bracelet is not yet clear, but the company was secretly taken aback when they saw the image in the photo...
Those were four people who had been clearly photoshopped in using AI face-swapping technology. All four were looking at the camera, smiling, and...
Those were the four people at that table just now...
P.S.: I'm in Chongqing, and I got ripped off by a shady taxi driver at the station for 178 yuan right after getting off the train. Then, I was led on a crazy map for over an hour just to find a Mixue Ice Cream shop. This is a real wake-up call.
Classic Voting
A recent comment mentioned something, still about the female lead. People said they didn't like seeing female leads other than those from Girls' Frontline, so they dropped the show. My attitude remains the same: I understand, but I disagree. However, this gave me a new idea, so I'm planning to start a poll. Of course, it's only in the polling stage right now; nothing's officially decided yet, and the results might not be implemented even after the poll is closed.
In other words, should we write a clean version of a post-apocalyptic story, just Girls' Frontline and post-apocalyptic elements? The story would be much clearer, but it would definitely not be as exciting as the current one. After all, it would lack many elements, there would be no ensemble perspective, and the smaller structure would make it difficult for me to write anything particularly exciting. After all, we're not fighting against Umbrella, and there isn't a particularly powerful and clearly defined enemy.
Of course, if I'm writing, then the updates will be more flexible, since I have three books to write, and the third one will definitely have very low popularity, given that Girls' Frontline's popularity has only reached this point. But as long as I'm writing, I won't stop writing any of them, it's just that the updates will be slower. Plus, I've been playing in Chongqing these past few days, so I'm a bit sleepy (I'm really).
There will be an update tonight, so don't worry.
The voting process raises the following two questions.
Question 1: Should I write a clean version of Girls' Generation Apocalypse?
1. It's doable!
2. Never mind.
Question 2: If you're going to include it, should you add ship girls? (PS: Ship girls will still be weakened by their lack of ammunition.)
1. Write!
2. Never mind.
(The voting results are for reference only. The actual outcome will depend on my own situation and arrangements, but they can still have a significant impact on my decision.)
Attacked on June 617
"This should make things much safer, and the subsequent action plan will be much easier."
On the way back, Luo Fan repeatedly checked the frequency of the walkie-talkie in his hand, and only felt relieved after adjusting it to a range that was difficult to detect.
The bracelet was actually a walkie-talkie that had been specially demagnetized and manufactured with the help of Paradis's engineering department. With this, he could communicate with the girls in the prison with almost no risk.
The coded messages between the company also revealed that Luo Fan intended to win over the warden, since he was Williams' friend and quite adept at handling things. Perhaps he could try to get him to do him a favor in future operations, such as keeping his distance from the Wolf Pack team...
Having finished his current task, Luo Fan planned to take advantage of Crazy Thursday to solve his lunch problem. After all, with so many girls around, Luo Fan had been eating delicious and healthy home-cooked meals for a long time, which made him start to miss those high-calorie junk foods.
Just as I took out my phone to order in advance, a phone call abruptly switched the screen to black and white.
This was Paradis's internal number, and Lofan couldn't help but wonder if something had happened.
"……Hey?"
On the other end of the phone was a clear and capable voice: "Hello, Commander, this is Natia, the captain of the first squad of the Martyrs' Team from the Paradis Special Operations Group."
The word "martyr" evoked a long-forgotten memory for Lovan, a name they had heard on their train journey to the quarantine zone, from a Nieto squad produced by Paradis themselves.
But how did they find themselves at this time...?
"Hello, Natya, what can I do for you?"
Luo Fan also switched back to a serious state and responded to the new team.
“We’ve been sent here to check on your travel plans,” Natia continued. “You’re on your way back to the company, right?”
"No, I plan to have lunch outside first."
Luo Fan answered truthfully.
However, Natya said, "I suggest you go back to the company first to resolve this. We have discovered that some unidentified individuals are heading towards your location. We are also on our way, but if possible, you should try to get rid of them first. We will be there soon."
……
Luo Fan quickly looked around but found no suspicious signs yet, but remained vigilant.
"I understand, I'll go back right away."
After a dull reply, Luo Fan quickened his pace and began to change his original route. Since he hadn't driven there himself, he now needed to find another way to get back.
"Hello there!"
On the street, Luo Fan reached out and flagged down a taxi, quickly getting in.
The driver asked very politely, "Hello, sir, where would you like to go?"
Luo Fan put away his phone and said quickly, "Grey Bio... uh, damn it!"
Before he could finish speaking, several hands smashed the car window and thrust sharp fruit knives at Luo Fan.
The taxi driver in the driver's seat was stabbed to death. Luo Fan, sitting in the middle of the back seat, was relatively safe, but his situation wasn't much better, and he still had to keep raising his hand for protection.
Damn, they got here so fast!
If this continues, I'll be stabbed to death sooner or later. I can't just sit here and wait to die...!
Luo Fan quickly got up and climbed into the front seat. Before the blades could pierce his thighs, he slammed on the accelerator pedal. In an instant, the vehicle sped off. Several thugs, unable to keep their distance in time, were dragged along with it until the vehicle crashed into a flowerbed and came to a stop.
Luo Fan managed to protect his head and was unharmed. He quickly jumped out of the car, but when he turned around, several thugs were still running towards him with knives. However, it was impossible to run into the street with them in tow...
In the blink of an eye, while Luo Fan was thinking, the thug on the ground staggered to his feet and swung his knife at him, but Luo Fan caught his arm in time, broke it, and then lifted it overhead with even greater force.
He threw it onto the hood of the taxi.
"Damn it, I need to find another place...!"
Running on the street might be more dangerous right now, so Luo Fan immediately looked at a nearby fast food restaurant and then ran out.
During his escape, Luo Fan dialed the number again: "Natiya, I've been attacked! When will you be able to get here?!"
"About five minutes, please hang in there a little longer, we are trying our best to get there..."
Okay, five minutes...
"Hecate, can you go any faster?!"
"I want to be fast too, but the problem is that my driver's licenses are all issued by the company!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Hecate spun out of the traffic, completely disregarding traffic rules, and headed towards Lovan's location at top speed.
The other four martyrs were jolted quite a bit by the jolt. Although they knew this was already their fastest speed, they were still extremely anxious. If anything went wrong, the situation would become very complicated...
……
Upon entering the restaurant, Luo Fan casually grabbed a chair and threw it behind him, knocking one of the thugs to the ground. However, the others continued to pursue him relentlessly, seemingly unconcerned about committing murder in public.
The assailant had already rushed in front of him. Luo Fan used the same trick again, pushing the knife-wielding hand upwards, then tripping the assailant. Before the assailant could react, Luo Fan pushed the knife into his throat. However, the second assailant followed closely behind, climbing over the table to try and use the height difference to pin Luo Fan down. But Luo Fan was much stronger than he had imagined, and Luo Fan used the assailant's strength against him, causing him to be thrown against the beer crates behind him.
The immense inertia knocked the beer crate over, but since there was a wall behind it, it fell in the opposite direction, pinning the assailant to the ground.
Diners and waiters retreated in fear, screaming intermittently. No one had anticipated this violent conflict, including Lofan. Despite the hasty response, he handled the situation with ease, even when outnumbered.
The next assailant thrust his knife first to gain the upper hand, but Luo Fan dodged it and then launched a surprise attack, grabbing the assailant by the neck and slamming him against the corner of the table. His throat was crushed, and he died on the spot.
The thugs continued their attack on Luo Fan. This time, they launched an initial straight kick, but Luo Fan grabbed it and threw the other leg down...
"You want to experience some hardship, don't you?!"
Luo Fan casually picked up a beer bottle from the ground, smashed it on the table, and plunged the sharp part of the bottle directly into the thug's leg. He then twisted it, and in an instant, the leg muscles and denim scraps were torn to shreds, leaving all the onlookers horrified. How could this young man have such a vicious method to deal with a group of thugs who brought about his death?
The methods he used appeared to be far more ruthless than those of the thugs...
618 Martyrs' Assistance
The opponent fell to the ground, struggling in vain, screaming in pain. But seeing that the next enemy was about to arrive, Luo Fan quickly threw away the leg he was holding and turned to deal with it.
The opponent's attack was fierce. After Luo Fan hastily dodged, he finally found an opening. Taking advantage of his height, he grabbed the opponent, lifted him up, and slammed him onto the table. He dragged him along, and the next time he looked up, he noticed the oil pan on the counter.
How could he let such an opportunity pass? Luo Fan grabbed the oil pot and poured the boiling hot oil onto the thug. Another shrill scream followed. But it wasn't over yet. Luo Fan lifted the pot again and smashed it hard on the thug's head. His skin was torn open, a horrifying sight.
Luo Fan's adrenaline was surging, and he was now in a killing frenzy. The remaining thugs were clearly showing signs of retreating, but Luo Fan picked up a beer bottle again, smashed it, and slowly approached the enemy in front of him.
Unexpectedly, several gunshots rang out, and the thugs fell to the ground. Luo Fan immediately sensed danger and tried to take cover away from the line of fire, but the appearance of several women in brown trench coats made him feel safe immediately.
"I'm sorry, Commander, I'm late."
Natia pulled down the brim of her hat, her expression very serious.
But Luo Fan just smiled and said, "If you guys are any slower, I might have to steal their car and go back myself."
"Oh, it seems the commander is in good shape."
Mantico approached Luo Fan with great excitement, and Luo Fan responded enthusiastically: "Of course, after all, we're not people who fight often, so it's quite enjoyable to do it once in a while."
The two were practically ready to sit down and start drinking beer. Hecate was about to join in when Nemesis pushed up his glasses and walked over...
"This place is no place to stay any longer, Commander. Let's go and leave through the back door."
So, no one said anything more and followed Nemesis to the back door of the restaurant. Although they arrived a little late, they managed to evacuate safely.
No wonder! ! !
"Rhine, take the commander and run first, we'll handle this!"
Before they could even leave the alley, several bullets struck Natia and Mantiko in the face, but the two were unharmed. They used the line of fire as cover to block Lovan and Rhineenshe behind them.
Lovan made a dodge maneuver while trying to identify which of the martyrs was named "Rhine," and at that moment, the only Nieto girl wearing a dress grabbed Lovan's hand...
"Let's go, Commander, leave the rest to the sisters."
In that brief moment, Luo Fan glimpsed a familiar feeling in her eyes, which were almost indistinguishable from flesh and blood...
Someone I know very well, but I can't quite place them...
The first contact ended too hastily, and I didn't even notice it until now, but looking at it now, it feels so much like...
"What's wrong with you?"
It wasn't until Rhein-Schönberger asked his next question that Lovan broke free from the prison of his thoughts and returned to the present moment.
"Hmm...it's okay, let's go."
With Lofan's permission, Rhineenshe turned to the side and slammed his elbow into the wall, like an AK15, smashing a large hole in the wall with a single blow.
Goodness, this looks a bit out of place next to that dress...
Hecate turned around and teased, "So Commander, don't have any improper thoughts about our Rhine. She may look frail, but she's not much weaker than us."
"What do you mean 'your home'? Hecate, get back here! I'm out of bullets!"
As Natia let out a furious curse, Hecate quickly rushed to Natia's side to provide cover. Lovan silently memorized these impressive Nieto moments, then entered the gap and left with Rhineenshe.
An old, frozen meat warehouse, filled with a strange smell, made Luo Fan feel dizzy.
"Cough...cough cough...!"
The cough aggravated his throat and caused him to gag. Coupled with his long-standing ailment, he soon experienced dizziness and discomfort. Rhine Enshe noticed Luo Fan's poor condition and immediately turned back.
"Are you feeling unwell?" She then took off her own mask and put it on Luo Fan's face without hesitation, and took his hand: "Don't worry, Commander, I'm here."
Luo Fan was somewhat stunned, but he knew that now was not the time to think about these things, and followed Rheinenshe's rhythm to evacuate from the warehouse.
Arriving at a rusty iron gate, Rhine raised his leg and kicked the door and lock down, then quickly left with Lovan.
The martyrs made a big enough commotion for the two that no one noticed Lofan and Rhine's retreat. As a result, the two were not pursued by other pursuers after changing course. But now they could no longer go back to the company.
"My sisters can't go back to the company, or they'll be targeted by pursuers. We can't either; we have to keep a certain distance from them."
The two stopped briefly in a corner of an alley to rest, and Rhein-Ensche analyzed the current situation.
Luo Fan took off her mask, nodded, and the girl's fresh scent inexplicably made her feel much more awake.
“I shielded the contents of the call, so that it couldn’t be heard outside of the prison guards’ local line. Umbrella couldn’t confirm what I said to the company, which is why they wanted to capture me alive or kill me…”
"Is this why you're being surrounded and chased?" Rhein-Enshe asked with concern.
“Yes, I know why, but as you said, we can’t go back to the company now, otherwise the other side might connect the clues.”
In that case, Mrs. Grey and the others would also be suspected...
