When he got home, it was already past 11 p.m., and Phil Coulson was waiting for him at the villa entrance.

Monica took the three children and Luna to rest, while Vega brought Phil Coulson to the study.

Phil Coulson: "We investigated all day and found that about 375 people have mysteriously disappeared around the world, and we also found several creatures that don't seem to be native to Earth."

Vega: "What creature?"

Phil Coulson handed the tablet to Vega: "It's all animals. No intelligent life has been found yet."

Vega looked down at the documents and asked in a flat tone, "Did you not find it, or do you just not want to tell me?"

Phil Coulson: "Lee, please don't be so prejudiced against us. S.H.I.E.L.D. really hasn't discovered any intelligent life."

Vega: "Ha, I don't like your way of doing things. What about the other countries?"

He could even encounter a flower fairy on the high seas. With so many worlds around, it's impossible that she was the only intelligent being to have come to Earth!

Phil Coulson: "All the known findings are compiled from various countries, and we don't know if they've been hiding anything."

Vega: "Have you found any weak points in the space?"

Phil Colson: "The UK, the University of Tokyo, and Egypt have all found one within their respective territories."

However, the three weak points that were discovered have disappeared, and no alien creatures have been found nearby, making it impossible to determine where they connect.

Phil Coulson: "You proposed the Nine Realms Overlap, so you should know more about it than any of us. The top leaders of the five countries hope that you can find more evidence to confirm that the Nine Realms Overlap will really happen."

Vega: "No problem, I'll do my best. You can leave now."

He initially dealt with S.H.I.E.L.D. because he thought Nick Fury could assemble the Avengers. However, after the Chitauri invasion and the encounter with the superhuman powers of the other four nations, the U.S. leadership reassigned Captain America, Steve Rogers, to continue leading the Howling Commandos, which was controlled by the government.

Iron Man Tony Stark has restarted weapons manufacturing, sold dozens of Iron Man suits to the military, and is currently frantically developing even more powerful suits. He's also no longer involved with S.H.I.E.L.D.

After Bruce Banner developed the artificial intelligence for Monica, he did not leave. Instead, he joined the physics lab that Monica had invested in, where he conducted the research he enjoyed.

Without these three, the Avengers simply couldn't be formed, and Vega naturally wouldn't stoop to dealing with S.H.I.E.L.D., which he hated.

After getting rid of Phil Coulson, Vega thought for a moment, told Monica, and then went straight out the door.

It was so late, so he wasn't looking for the Ancient One. He was just wandering around, trying to find some spatial anomalies.

He spent the whole night traveling around the world without finding anything, and even the anomalies he had tried so hard to recall from Thor: The Dark World were perfectly normal.

With this question in mind, he carried three breakfasts and stepped into the New York Temple, which was disguised as a dilapidated museum.

Vega, familiar with the place, arrived outside the tea room, straightened his clothes, and raised his hand to knock on the door.

"Come in." Before he could knock, a voice came from inside the room. Seeing this, he lowered his raised right hand, grasped the doorknob, opened the door, and went inside.

"Good morning, Master. Haven't had breakfast yet? I bought you a steamer of pork buns and a serving of tofu pudding. Please try them and see if they're good." As he spoke, Vega walked to the coffee table, sat down cross-legged, placed the remaining two breakfasts on the coffee table, examined them, and then opened one of them and pushed it in front of the Ancient One sitting opposite him.

The Ancient One in this universe is similar to the Ancient One in the movie "Doctor Strange," but her temperament is far more extraordinary and approachable.

The monk remained silent, lowered his head, and began to eat. Seeing this, Vega had no choice but to join him.

After finishing breakfast and drinking a pot of tea, Master Gu Yi finally spoke.

However, she didn't address Vega's biggest concern; instead, she started talking about something else.

"You refused to take my place, and now look what happened—you've been drafted by someone else!"

Vega's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the Ancient One.

Knowing you've been conscripted is one thing, but knowing beforehand and planning to intervene is definitely not normal, is it? Could this person in front of me be a big shot on par with those powerful figures?

Ancient One: "What nonsense are you thinking? My strength is only at the Celestial level."

"Yes, yes, I was wrong. I didn't understand your good intentions. I was ignorant and deserve to be punished," Vega quickly admitted his mistake. Whatever you say goes, I dare not contradict you.

Then, with a glimmer of hope, Vega asked, "Do you think I can still take over your job now?"

Gu Yi: "What do you think?"

Vega replied sincerely, "I think it's possible!"

Gu Yi: "..."

Vega knew it was impossible, and he said in a low voice, "Master, do you know who's behind this?"

Ancient One: "It doesn't matter who it is, just follow the guidance of the Phoenix Force, and you'll reap the rewards."

Vega: "You know, I don't want any benefits, I just want to live out my life peacefully."

Gu Yi: "You can just dream about this wish. There's no need to tell me. I can't help you."

"Sigh..." Vega sighed in frustration. Being manipulated like a puppet was really unpleasant.

After a while, Gu Yi said, "The overlap of the Nine Realms has indeed begun. The overlap will begin at 10:27 AM 31 days from now and will last for 10 minutes."

Vega composed himself and asked seriously, "Has something changed?"

"Nothing has changed," Vega breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, but then heard the Ancient One continue, "But the process won't be the same as in the movie."

Vega: "Huh? Doesn't that mean something unexpected has happened?"

Gu Yi shook his head: "It's not a sudden change. Movies are movies, and reality is reality. I think you should have understood that long ago."

Vega: "Yes, I understood long ago. Then, Master, could you tell me how reality unfolded?"

Gu Yi continued to shake her head: "It cannot be said, it cannot be said, if it is said, the future will change."
