Chapter 1 Origin
Chapter 1 Origin
Snapped--
"You stinky mosquitoes, you come out to suck blood as soon as night falls, you're really lawless! My skinny body isn't enough for you to suck!" Zhang Niu, a 1.72-meter-tall young man, said angrily from the bedside. He reached for a bottle of medicated oil on the desk next to him and gently applied it to the red and swollen area.
He bent down and looked at the mosquito coil emitting white smoke under the bed. "Damn it, I'm never going to Zhang's shop in town to buy this fake stuff again. It can't even kill mosquitoes. What's the point of buying it? It's a waste of three yuan." He cursed angrily.
Pulling the rope tied to the headboard, the 60-watt light bulb went out. Hoping that turning off the light would drive away the annoying mosquitoes, I casually pulled up the small sheet on the bed.
Once the lights are turned off, it's pitch black at night, and you can hear the buzzing of mosquitoes all the time.
A gentle breeze blew in from the window opposite the bed, easing the lingering heat of late summer.
Zhang Niu, enjoying the cool breeze on the bed, drifted off to sleep without realizing it, while the mosquitoes, of course, had a good meal.
The mountain village is pitch black at night, but what will happen in this ordinary darkness?
The night was quiet, with only the chirping of insects outside and Zhang Niu occasionally rolling around in bed, emitting snores.
In the distant outer space, a spherical object the size of a washbasin, accompanied by a red fireball, streaked through the air, emitting bursts of air explosions. In the blink of an eye, it had traveled a great distance, heading straight for the familiar Earth.
Zhang Niu, lying in bed, was unaware that a mysterious object was hurtling towards Earth from outer space. At this moment, perhaps only the Star Observatory would be paying attention, but they were probably all asleep.
The red flame shot into the atmosphere in the blink of an eye, accompanied by a loud explosion. As soon as it broke through the atmosphere, the red flame gradually dissipated, and the remaining sphere continued to plunge downwards. The pale white sphere was completely swallowed by the night, but the traces left by the burning red light could still be seen in the distance.
Back then, there were spheres the size of washbasins in outer space. After burning up in the atmosphere, they were reduced to the size of glass beads, but their speed remained unchanged as they streaked across the black night sky.
The spherical object streaked across the sky and hurtled straight down, piercing through the tiles and shooting directly into Zhang Niu's body.
Zhang Niu, who was fast asleep, suddenly felt hot all over and felt extremely uncomfortable.
The spherical object was directly integrated into Zhang Niu's body.
Zhang Niu, who was burning up, was still unconscious and unaware that the sphere had merged into his body in that instant. He felt extremely uncomfortable, as if he were on a volcano.
In fact, this is a preliminary sign of the spherical object being incorporated into the body.
In a hazy, gray space, a misty fog permeated the entire area, and all around was quiet.
"Where am I?! How did I get here?!" Zhang Niu stood alone on the ground, looking around and muttering to himself.
He then gripped his hand tightly, saying, "Ouch!"
This isn't a dream. I can still vaguely see the red welts from mosquito bites on my hands, but wasn't I lying in bed at home sleeping?
"Could I have transmigrated? But this place doesn't seem like it. Didn't the books say that there would be a dense forest right after you came out? But this place is just a gray, misty expanse." Zhang Niu immediately thought of the transmigration novels he had read before.
He quickly dismissed the idea that this was time travel; the soil beneath his feet confirmed that he was standing on a vast expanse of land. Putting aside his worries, he thought, "Since I'm here, I should explore this place first, just in case there's any danger."
Try taking light steps, and feel the earth beneath your bare feet; it feels wonderful.
Just after running a hundred meters, "bang!" I crashed into the gray area in front of me.
"It hurts." She reached up and touched her forehead.
Sitting on the ground, Zhang Niu recalled that he had been running straight ahead, surrounded by a hazy grayness. It seemed he needed to find a different place to run, and he quickly determined his location in his mind.
Standing up, Zhang Niu realized that he felt perfectly comfortable in this place, just like he was outside. This place was really strange; it was enclosed but not uncomfortable. Many thoughts flew through his mind, and he knew that tonight's events would be unforgettable for the rest of his life.
Shaking my head, I cleared my mind and realized I still had to move forward and see what happened.
I ran in a different direction, but this time I learned from the previous experience and slowed down a lot. Although I still crashed, it didn't hurt as much as before.
Having been hit twice, Zhang Niu had a basic understanding of the place. Although he could see ahead, there was a transparent film blocking his way.
He couldn't run to either side. Calming down, Zhang Niu was filled with even more questions about this place: "I wonder when we'll ever get out of here." Shaking his head, he said, "I can't stay here. I have to keep walking and see what new discoveries I can make."
After looking around, Zhang Niu realized he was at the edge of the space. He turned around and walked diagonally, rubbing his slightly swollen forehead, hoping to leave this damned place as soon as possible.
I stretched out my arms, groping forward, afraid of bumping into that unseen layer again. I moved forward in small steps, slower but safer. It's better to be careful in this sparsely populated place.
Zhang Niu had walked quite a distance when he suddenly noticed a dark shadow standing in the hazy distance ahead.
Upon finally spotting a figure, Zhang Niu immediately shouted, "Who's up ahead? Where are you?"
The first time he called out, there was no response. He called again, but the figure in front of him still didn't answer. This puzzled Zhang Niu. What was that mysterious person up to?
People often say that curiosity killed the cat. Zhang Niu was no exception; regardless of whether there was danger, he walked forward, determined to see who it was.
As the distance closed, Zhang Niu, who was walking forward, could finally see clearly that what he had thought was a human figure was actually a long, ancient stele.
No wonder there was no response after I called it several times; it turned out to be an ancient stone tablet.
Standing at a distance, you can only see the outline of the stone tablet; to see it clearly, you have to keep moving closer.
The stone tablet that appeared out of nowhere is very noteworthy; it might hold some clues.
Thinking about this, I didn't slow down and kept walking forward. When I got to the stone tablet, I could see that there was an ancient stone tablet about three meters high in front of me. The most unusual thing was that there were two ancient, vigorous and powerful characters engraved on it: "Seven Colors".
What's with this "seven colors"? This hazy grayness is better just called "hazy." He muttered to himself.
His sudden appearance in this place, and now this "seven-colored" stone tablet, left Zhang Niu completely bewildered.
He couldn't help but reach out and touch the stone tablet. Looking back later, Zhang Niu couldn't understand why he had so inexplicably reached out.
The moment his hands touched the stone tablet, a dazzling light emanated from it. Zhang Niu immediately shielded his eyes with his hands.
Red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple flashed by, the light exceptionally dazzling. Zhang Niu instinctively covered his face even more tightly with his hands. When he finally released his grip, he found himself back in bed. Looking out at the quiet night, he wiped the sweat from his brow. A gentle breeze blew by, allowing him to completely relax.
Whew, I slowly exhaled. Finally, I'm away from that damned place. I wonder if I should thank that stone tablet. Bending down and seeing the mud on my feet confirmed that what I had just experienced wasn't a dream, but something real.
I found myself in a hazy, gray space, in a distant land.
Recalling the seven-colored light from just now, Zhang Niu's eyes still felt a little stinging.
A hazy, gray place. A stone tablet radiating seven colors. What does it all mean?
Lying on the bed, Zhang Niu had just recalled that place when it suddenly came back to him. Damn it, how could he suddenly be back here? Zhang Niu, lying sprawled on the ground, was very confused.
Only after standing up did Zhang Niu realize that he had returned to the stone tablet he had just touched. It seemed he had only returned after touching the tablet! Should he try again? He hesitated.
Unfortunately, the blinding light from before didn't reappear; there was no response whatsoever. Could this be a fake too, failing after just one use? Zhang Niu was so angry he almost fought the stone tablet. What kind of thing was this?!
Unable to return, Zhang Niu didn't care whether he was on the ground or not. He sat down and buried his head between his legs, muttering to himself in a daze, "What bad luck I had today that God had to treat me like this."
Just as Zhang Niu was about to completely break down, he suddenly remembered that this might be a small space. In a moment of panic, he recalled the description in the book. Could it be that he silently recited the word "space" in his mind?
Just as Zhang Niu silently uttered the word "space," he found himself back in bed. Was this the legendary space? Otherwise, how could he be so free to do as he pleased?
"If that's true, then we'll be rich."
"Hey Niu, what are you doing? Why aren't you asleep so late? Be careful you won't be able to get up tomorrow," Mom called from downstairs.
I was so excited just now that I didn't think about my mom downstairs. I was really too happy.
After figuring this out, Zhang Niu had grasped the method. As long as he thought about going in, he would be inside. After a moment of joy, he wondered how this space came about. He thought his luck couldn't be that good; he had never even won five yuan in the lottery before.
I racked my brains for a long time but couldn't figure it out. The only thing I remembered was that I felt incredibly hot at that time, like I was being roasted by fire. Could it be...?
Having just experienced this, Zhang Niu lay in bed unable to sleep. What was this space even for? Was it for storage? That seemed like a good idea, but the storage room was far too large; he didn't have that much stuff to store. Then he thought of farming? That wasn't a bad idea either; after all, he was born in the countryside! Maybe he should try it tomorrow?
